Basic InformationName: - Himitsu Shinchou (means secret, discreet)
- Misuteri Shinchou (means mystery, discreet)
Nickname/s: - Himitsu is called Mitsu by others, but his brother also calls him ‘Him’ or ‘Mit’, though he doesn’t allow anyone else to use these two names. When he is in his Onmitsukido uniform, and so cannot be identified, he goes by the name Gomakasareru (which means camouflaged).
- Misuteri is sometimes called Teri by others, but his brother also calls him ‘Misu’, and he doesn’t allow anyone else to use this name. When he is in his Onmitsukido uniform, and so cannot be identified, he goes by the name Kakusa Reru (which means concealed).
Actual Age: 790
Appeared Age: 18
Gender: Male
Division: 2
Rank: - Lieutenant of the 2nd division, Corps Commander of the Reversal Counter Force – Himitsu Shinchou
- 4th seat of the 2nd division, Second in Command of the Reversal Counter Force – Misuteri Shinchou
Organization: Onmitsukido, 2nd division and Seireitei News
Looks: Himitsu and Mitsuteri are identical twins, and it is extremely hard to tell them apart by looking at them. They stand at 6 foot 3 and Himitsu weighs 75kg, while his brother weighs 76kg, making their height:weight ratio ideal. Their build is strong, but not sturdy, with a more willowy grace opposed to a stocky build, and their muscles are lean instead of bulky – though they are clearly seen defining their arms, torso and legs. Most people, when looking at them, would not get the overall impression of strength, though this aids in their opponent’s underestimating them; however their strong point is speed, rather than strength, and they are extremely good at sneaking around undetected due to their build, which allows ease of movement.
Their facial features are very predominant, with a strong, shaved jawline, and they are described as gorgeous when their features are able to be seen. They also have unnaturally pale skin, which makes it easy for them to burn in the sunlight, and so usually cover up most of their skin so as to prevent this from happening. They have midnight black hair which falls across their face, and vibrant green eyes, which stand out against their pale skin and black hair, providing a contrast and a sense of mystery to the brothers.
Also, as part of their attire when in their shinigami uniform, the two brothers wear a bandage type wrap around their forehead for two reasons: one, they think it looks extremely cool, and two, it helps keep their hair out of their eyes.
This is what their hair looks like, as well as the bandage.
- Himitsu: Himitsu wears, while in the 2nd squad, his shinigami uniform, though they are sleeveless so as not to restrict arm movement. Around his middle, instead of the traditional white obi, he wears a red obi which is thicker than the normal one with the uniform. This is to allow him to conceal many different weapons, including silver shurikens and kunei, a fukiya with poison darts, smoke bombs, metsubishi, a midnight black tanto and a tessan, which was a discreet soft black colour, and it never aroused suspicions.
These weapons were covertly hidden, and unable to be seen or sensed, and so are used greatly for surprise attacks when without a weapon. In his uniform his zanpakuto is strapped to his left hip, slightly tilted with the end of the sheath pointing slightly out behind him, for ease of access in a fight. When Himitsu is performing his Onmitsukido duties he wears black loose fitting pants, which aren’t too baggy as to restrict movement, but aren’t too form fitting either – they move with his movements and allow a little amount of space.
However, from his ankles to just around mid thigh the pants become form fitting in a stretchier material, which are then tucked into his black tabi socks, so it is impossible to tell where his pants end and his socks begin. On his feet are comfortable tabi boots in black. His black top of the same colour is also slightly loose, though more form fitting than his pants, and the sleeves – from the wrist to the elbow – is fitted to the skin in a lighter black/grey colour in a stretchier material. Around his waist is a thin white obi, with his zanpakuto slipped through it in the same position as to his shinigami uniform.
On his right leg on his upper thigh is a small black pouch, which blends in with his pants, and it holds his shurikens and kunai, as well as his darts. Around his waist, connected to the obi so it doesn’t move, just on his right hip, is another pouch – black again so as not to be seen – which holds his smoke bombs and metsubishi. In a hidden pocket of his pants leg, on the left side, is his fukiya, which is securely in place, while his tessan is secured in the back of his obi.
As well as all these concealed weapons, he also has his tanto in a concealed sheath attached to his left upper underarm, and it is concealed completely undetectable and unable to be seen. Also, instead of the white bandage around his forehead to keep his hair out of his eyes, Himitsu wears a dark midnight blue forehead guard of a soft material – similar to his bandage – though it is slightly harder than the bandage, and so able to protect his forehead from very minor injuries.
On the lower half of his mouth is a black cloth, which seems to connect to the top of his shirt – so it is impossible to tell where the top ends and the face mask begins – and it covers the entire lower portion of his face, ending just above his nose – though he is still able to breathe perfectly with it, and it is made of tightly woven material and so filters the air as he breathes it, so he is unaffected by his own attacks, such as the smoke bomb.
This means that his identity is completely secret, and nobody knows it’s him, even though his hair looks the same – not even the smartest of people are able to make the connection between Himitsu and Gomakasareru, and realise that they are the same person – if they did then he wouldn’t be doing his job correctly.
- Misuteri: Misuteri wears, while in the 2nd squad, his shinigami uniform, though they are sleeveless so as not to restrict arm movement. Around his middle, instead of the traditional white obi, he wears a blue obi which is thicker than the normal one with the uniform. This is to allow him to conceal many different weapons, including gold shurikens and kunei, a fukiya with poison darts, smoke bombs, metsubishi, a midnight blue tanto and a tessan, which was a soft dark blue colour, with an intricate gold pattern on it.
These weapons were covertly hidden, and unable to be seen or sensed, and so are used greatly for surprise attacks when without a weapon. In his uniform his zanpakuto is strapped to his right hip, slightly tilted with the end of the sheath pointing slightly out behind him, for ease of access in a fight, as he is left handed.
When Misuteri is performing his Onmitsukido duties he wears black loose fitting pants, which aren’t too baggy as to restrict movement, but aren’t too form fitting either – they move with his movements and allow a little amount of space. However, from his ankles to just around mid thigh the pants become form fitting in a stretchier material, which are then tucked into his black tabi socks, so it is impossible to tell where his pants end and his socks begin.

(The descriptions are the same, except all the left and rights are different, and this is just to show that they are completely identical in the way they dress, except that Himitsu is right-handed, while Misuteri is left-handed)
Personality: Himitsu and Misuteri are never seen without the other in their presence; they do everything together, and it is almost as though they have a telepathic connection, and often not needing words to express themself to each other, or asking questions, nor saying statements, as the other already seems to know what they are going to say before they say it.
Because of this they sometimes forgo words completely, which can get on the nerves of people who may be in the conversation as well. Both brothers are masters at hiding their thoughts and emotions, as it comes with being successful in their job, though Himitsu generally doesn’t exercise this ability, while Misuteri does.
- Himitsu: Himistu is an extremely outgoing person, and he is never afraid to do what he wants to do, regardless of whatever consequences his actions may hold; he is forever angering and upsetting people with his attitude. Also, he is brutally honest, never thinking about other people’s feelings before telling the truth and what he thinks – and this also tends to lead to trouble; nobody would ever describe him with the word ‘nice’ because of his honesty. Also, he is incapable of thinking before acting or talking – even though he says he will try to make an effort to do so – and he is extremely impulsive and unpredictable.
However, despite these character flaws, he is very charismatic, and an amazing leader because of his charisma, and is able to lead anyone in any situation, and he has a very tactical mind when he needs to command and lead – though any other time and he never draws on his own wealth of knowledge or tactical skills; it’s almost as though he is allergic to his brain. Also, Himitsu is popular, being a people person most of the time by being involved in everything he can, and so, even though he offends a lot of the people a lot of the time, many people are still drawn to him by his vibrant energy projected. His loud, boisterous and extroverted nature is greatly contrasted with how he acts when performing his secondary duties within the Onmitsukido, where is more contained and low maintenance to normal, and he rarely speaks, in case it gives away his voice – though his face mask serves to muffle his voice, and being a master at voice impersonation there is no way for it to give him away – though he is cautious, another thing is normally isn’t, and so exercises control and refrains from speaking.
Himitsu isn’t very respectful, though he always respects his captain and his brother – about the only two people with his complete respect – and he is extremely loyal to his brother; he would choose his brother over anything else, even an order from his captain – even an order from the Captain Commander. Himitsu’s greatest love, however, is gossip and collecting the dirty secrets on his fellow shinigami – something made extremely easy for him due to his position and skills. Himitsu also likes to flirt – which, when combined with his honesty, is never a good thing, and so usually needs Misuteri to stop him before he can offend the girl he’s talking to.
- Misuteri: Misuteri is more refined and introverted than his brother, preferring to stay away from crowds, people and the ‘party’ scene, which his brother is so fond of. He is also more polite and tactful than Himitsu, and he has a way with words which can get any person to follow him; he uses his intelligence – unlike his brother – in persuasion and manipulation, though people never know that they are being manipulated by the ‘Master Manipulator’ as he is just that god with words.
Also, he is extremely perceptive and is able to read body language perfectly, which aids in his manipulations. Misuteri, while not extroverted, is extremely popular alongside his brother because he’s so incredibly ‘kind’ and ‘caring’ to everyone. He always thinks before acting and speaking, and he always coats his words in sugar so as not to offend people, though he doesn’t make them so sweat that people are able to notice that he may not be telling the complete truth.
Never would he jump head first into a situation without thinking about every tactical advantage, or every possible outcome, and many people believe that he is the ‘Shadow Leader’, because while he never comes out into the foreground and into the spotlight, he is always constantly influencing Himitsu’s decisions, and he is the only one to be able to reign his brother in when he gets too hyper or out of control.
However, Misuteri always appears to be happy, giving off that aura of happiness constantly, though this is another mask which is impossible to see through, as it is his own personally developed way to hide emotions and thoughts. When performing his Onmitsukido duties, Misuteri’s personality is identical to his brother’s, and this is a form of technique which they use to trick the opponent when they are fighting them. He is also loyal to his brother; he would choose his brother over anything else, even an order from his captain – even an order from the Captain Commander.
Misuteri’s greatest love, however – along with his brother’s - is gossip and collecting the dirty secrets on his fellow shinigami – something made extremely easy for him due to his position and skills. This is probably why the two of them decided to join Seireitei News.
Sexuality: Straight
Relationship Status: Happily single ^^
Zanpakuto InformationHimitsu and Misuteri have two zanpakuto releases – three in total.
HimitsuZanpakuto Name: Tenshi
Name Translation: Angel
Zanpakuto Spirit Appearance:She stands at 5 foot 3, and is only slight in build, and so sometimes feels intimidated by Himitsu’s superior height and strength.
Zanpakuto Spirit Personality:Tenshi is timid and shy – completely the opposite of Himitsu – and she usually stammers her words, as she fears that what she is saying may not be correct, and because of this she doesn’t voice many opinions. Also, her personality is sometimes overwhelmed by Himitsu’s own personality. Tenshi is the embodiment of good and purity, and she holds an almost child-like innocence about her, and she hates bloodshed, though realises that it is inevitable in her master’s line of work.
Even though she usually keeps to herself, she enjoys talking with Himitsu, but she also greatly enjoys speaking with Misuteri over the telepathic link, as his introverted personality is much more closely linked and more similar to her own.
Inner World:http://www.desktopnexus.com/dl/inline/134251/1440x900/Picture041.jpg?nocache=534068 (For some reason I can't link this to the site, nor can I display the picture, so you'll have to copy and paste this address XD
Delicate, white pillars, such as the ones shown, are throughout the entire world. Note that the girl in the picture isn’t actually in his inner world as that is not his zanpakuto spirit.
Unreleased Appearance:It is an elegant katana, extending 60cm long, and it has pure white wrappings and a pure white sheath that never seems to get dirty no matter what happens. Also, the blade is an unusual colour, as it too is completely pure white in colour, rather than just the metallic colour of most blades. The guard is squarish, though the shape is too odd to describe in words, as it isn’t completely square, but it isn’t really completely any other shape either; this makes it completely unique, with the only other guard known with such an oddly shaped guard being that of his brother’s.
The sword is described as quite attractive and aesthetically pleasing on the eye, though its white vibrancy can sometimes hurt when the sunlight reflects off it.
Released Zanpakuto Description: Name: Karui Soufuu (Light Blast)
Description: The black runes on the blade light up in a brilliant glow which can blind the enemy if they’re looking at them directly – though it would only be momentary blindness, like when you leave a dark room into the sun. He can then fire up to 30 blasts of light for four posts without any preparation time, however, they won’t be that strong, though they will be as fast as a 5-6th seat in shunpo.
If he charges the runes for one post, it increases the strength, though he can only fire 15 for four posts, though they will be as fast as a 3-4th seat in shunpo, and their strength will have increased so that they would inflict at least some injuries on anyone it hits, and minor to sever injuries on anyone below him in power, which is akin to captain level because, even though he’s a 4th seat in the 2nd division, he’s still a Corps Commander in the Onmitsukido and so of the same calibre as a captain.
If he charges the runes for two posts, he can fire 10 shots within four posts, and they are once more increased in strength, double the strength and speed of what they were before. And if he charges for three posts then he may fire 5 shots within four posts, and it is of captain class speed and strength, and able to injure – the injury depends where it hits, and how hard it hits – a captain. The cooldown for the weakest shots requiring no preparation is one posts, two posts for the one charging for one post, three posts for the one charging for two posts, and four posts for the one charging for three posts.
Name: Ketsugou Raito (Binding Light)
Description: Himitsu plunges his blade into the ground and forces some reiatsu down the blade into the ground. The runes then seem as if they are melting off the blade and seeping into the ground, where they soon disappear from sight; they are actually forming tendrils of light under the ground, strengthened by reiatsu, like tree roots.
They can then come up anywhere within a 50m radius, with the blade the centre, and restrict the movement of an opponent. It takes one whole post for the runes to be absorbed into the ground before the binding technique can be used, and as this only requires one blade to do, he is able to still defend himself. The light moves very quickly, the speed of light to be exact, and grabs onto an opponent’s ankles, or anything else connected to the ground – if an opponent isn’t touching the ground in any way, then they can reach up to 5m out of the ground – and they slowly start to wrap around whatever they are holding, effectively binding it so it can’t move.
However, the opponent can move anything else not touching the light, and the best way to stop this attack is if they have some kind of reflective surface to disrupt the light flow, and in turn releases them. However, if the opponent hasn’t released themselves after three posts, then they are immobilised for a further one post before being released – they can still defend themselves before this, but once they are completely immobilized they are unable to move at all. This attack lasts for 6 posts, or for as long as the blade is in the ground – whichever one comes first. This then has a cooldown of four posts.
Name: Karui Tate (Light Shield)
Description: Himitsu crosses his blades together and forms an ‘X’ shape, which then starts to glow with all the colours in the light spectrum, before he swings the blades upwards, keeping the ‘X’ shape, and then brings them back down. A bubble then forms, shimmering in the colours of the light spectrum, before turning clear when the buble reaches as far as he wants it to go – it can get up to a radius of 10m, with him at the centre – and it can protect people besides himself; also, people and objects can leave the buble, but nothing can enter, not even kido or kido-based zanpakuto attacks.
Every time the bubble is hit, a small opaque and coloured circle appears as the shield shimmers, before leaving as soon as the attack removes itself from the shield. This means that in that small section visibility is obscured. The bubble can last up to 5 posts, with a three post cooldown, though it also takes a post to set up.
Name: Moumoku Ninaru Gekido (Blinding Fury)
Description: Both swords light up brightly, so bright that it is impossible to look at them without your eyes burning in their sockets; Himitsu isn’t affected by this, however, as a thin veil is moved over his eyes – though it can’t be seen – and acts as very strong sunglasses, blocking the light so it is a comfortable glow.
He can then move his blades wherever he wants, and leaves an impression in the air. After one post of extremely bright blades, the intensity of the light increases so that it is impossible to look in the general vicinity – like looking at a sun – and he can then swing his blades in arcs around him to create walls of solid light which last for a few seconds before slowly decreasing in intensity and eventually disappearing completely from the air. This attack is good for distractions and for making the opponent unable to see, but the blades are also very hot, and can burn the skin if touched – possibly third degree burns depending on how hard the blade hits the skin.
This can be used, after its preparation of one post, for three posts, with a cooldown of two posts. Also, during the preparation post the blades aren’t hot enough to burn, they’re only warm to foreshadow the temperature they will be.
Zanpakuto Release Phrase: Ten karano raito
Release Phrase Translation: Light from Heaven
Released Zanpakuto Looks: Himitsu’s sword, at the end of its transformation from normal to shikai, becomes two swords, with each blade being only 40cm, in both hands. Himitsu’s swords have a pure white hilt and guard, with a deep blue gem set in the end of the hilt, and the blade is also pure white with strange, black rune-like symbols running along its entire length.
MisuteriZanpakuto Name: Oni
Name Translation: Demon
Zanpakuto Spirit Appearance:She stands at 5 foot 5, and is slender – but not too thin.
Zanpakuto Spirit Personality:Oni is very loud and playful, without a serious bone in her entire body; there is absolutely no way to make her serious. However, she also has a slightly sadistic streak, so some of the things she finds funny or amusing aren’t necessarily funny or amusing as it involves the injuring of someone else. Never one to be overwhelmed or dominated, Oni always needs to be in control, or at least under the illusion of control.
Oni usually gets along well with Misuteri as they are both manipulative, though she also gets along very well with Himitsu, as their overall personalities are closely linked and similar; Oni and Tenshi don’t get along too well as Oni always overshadows the quieter and more gentle spirit, so the two generally stay away from each other when in the middle inner world, which the two brother’s share.
Inner World:The lighting is extremely poor, and so it is hard to see – especially because of the mist swirling around which aids in the obscuring of vision.
Unreleased Appearance:It is an elegant katana, extending 60cm long, and it has midnight black wrappings and a black sheath so dark it seems to just absorb the light around it. Also, the blade is an unusual colour, as it too is completely black in colour, rather than just the metallic colour of most blades. The guard is squarish, though the shape is too odd to describe in words, as it isn’t completely square, but it isn’t really completely any other shape either; this makes it completely unique, with the only other guard known with such an oddly shaped guard being that of his brother’s.
The sword is described as quite mysteriously beautiful, with a deadly and dangerous aura which draws people in, though it can sometimes feel as though they’re falling through the endless expanse of black due to how dark it is – almost akin to a black hole in its effect, without actually having any kind of techniques associated with it.
Released Zanpakuto Description: Name: Kurai Soufuu (Dark blast)
Description: The white runes on the blades darken so that they are almost unseen against the black of the blade, and this is the blade charging itself. As they become darker the blade also becomes similar to a black hole in that it seems to absorb the light surrounding it in the blackness, so that the area around the blades are devoid of light, so the swords are impossible to see. He can then fire 30 blasts of darkness at an opponent within 4 posts, with no preparation time.
This attack can injure greatly those beneath him in power – which is of lieutenant level as he is the second in command of the reversal counter force squad in the Onmitsukido –and mildly to greatly injure those above him, depending on where it hits, and how hard it hits. If he charges the runes for one post, it increases the strength, though he can only fire 15 for four posts, though they will be as fast as a 3-4th seat in shunpo, and their strength will have increased so that they would inflict at least some injuries on anyone it hits, and minor to sever injuries on anyone below him in power.
Name: Inku Noyouna Kuro (Inky Black)
Description: This attack takes one post to prepare, in which time Misuteri is unable to move as he gathers up all the darkness from around him, drawing it from the ever present source of darkness; he must rely on Himitsu, or somebody else, to protect him from all attacks, so he usually only uses it when he is with his brother.
In this attack, after the preparation time, the darkness starts to creep across the area, with a radius of 40m with Misuteri as the focal point in the centre, and while the darkness doesn’t seem to have any effect on a person, one post after the preparatory post, when the area is completely shrouded in darkness, it feels as though it’s pressing down on you in an opprosive blanket, and it can cause panic attacks because it’s so heavy that it’s hard to tell whether you’re still breathing – though you are. Also, it feels as though you’re desensitised to your senses, with your hearing, sense of smell, touch and taste being muted, and your sense of sight completely gone.
Again, you aren’t really desensitised to your senses, it’s just that the darkness is so black and dark that all you can hear, touch, smell or taste is yourself. This is a psychological attack, and even the most ferocious of people can succumb to its effects, as it is an ingrained human reaction to the darkness that all humans have had since the dawn of time. This attack lasts for 6 posts, and has a cooldown of 4 posts.
Name: Kurai Tate (Dark Shield)
Description: Misuteri crosses his blades together and forms an ‘X’ shape, which then starts to darken, looking almost as though they have become miniature black holes at the end of his hilt, even more so than they were before, before he swings the blades upwards, keeping the ‘X’ shape, and then brings them back down.
A bubble then forms, shimmering in the colours of the light spectrum, before turning as dark as a black hole when the bubble reaches as far as he wants it to go – it can get up to a radius of 10m, with him at the centre – and it can protect people besides himself; also, people and objects can leave the bubble, but nothing can enter, not even kido or kido-based zanpakuto attacks.
Every time the bubble is hit, a small section of the shield turns clear to show a limited area inside the bubble as the shield shimmers, before leaving as soon as the attack removes itself from the shield. This means that in that small section visibility is completely clear.
While people can’t see inside, the people inside can see out as it is only one way, similar to one way glass. The bubble can last up to 5 posts, with a three post cooldown, though it also takes a post to set up.
Name: Shori no Kurayami (Manipulating Darkness)
Description: The stone at the hilt of his sword appears to glow with a deep vibrancy from the very centre of the stone, drawing in shadows to be store within the hilt. For the first post it appears that nothing has happened as it is impossible to see what is happening, no matter how strong you are, and Misuteri continues to fight as though he’s done nothing at all; he’ll often not even mention starting the attack.
However, during the second post of his attack, if he hits an opponent he will be able to plant the seeds of his control within their mind, and the more times he hits them the greater his control will be. As a result, he will be able to compel people to do certain things, depending on the strength of his control, eg, he wouldn’t be able to get an enemy to attack their allies with one hit. The stronger the opponent the more times they will need to be hit for them to be compelled. With this attack the opponent is unaware that anything is happening at all, but their allies will be able to see the effects on their body, as little black tendrils will snake along their skin, and the stronger his control becomes the darker and bigger they become.
If their entire skin turns to black they will be completely under his control, doing anything he wants them to do, and there is no turning back from it – they’re under his control forever; he has never achieved this ever, as his control will only plant itself in a person’s mind if he hits direct skin. In order to completely control someone of an averagely strong level, he would need to hit them around 50 times on their bare skin, which is pretty much impossible. His ability to compel people when he hits them lasts for 6 posts, with a cooldown of 4 posts.
However, the ability for him to compel people once they’ve been hit lasts for the remainder of the time that he uses this ability, plus 3 posts after it; he just can’t make the mental compulsion any stronger. If he hits a sword, or even clothing, than the attack has no effect – it needs bare skin contact. A person of a higher strength can fight it off more easily than someone who was weaker.
Zanpakuto Release Phrase: Jigoku karano kurayami
Release Phrase Translation: Darkness from Hell
Released Zanpakuto Looks:Misuteri’s sword, at the end of its transformation from normal to shikai, becomes two swords, with each blade being only 40cm, in both hands. Misuteri’s swords have a midnight black hilt and guard, with a deep red stone set into the end of its hilt, with the blade also being completely black, with strange white ruins running along its entire length.
Himitsu and MisuteriZanpakuto Name: Oto Sareta Tenshi
Name Translation: Fallen Angel
Inner world name: Dokomo
Translation: Nowhere
Inner World (shared by the two brothers): The entire world stretches forever with no clear end seen, and everything is completely white with no definition between the sky and the ground, so it gives the impression of disorientation and weightlessness. However, while everything is completely white, it is also very dark in it, with only sparse lighting, which illuminates certain areas; because of the darkness it is difficult to tell when the ground is not flat, or when there is a cliff – so dangers are unable to be seen in this world, and the two brothers need to stay together lest they become separated and lost.
It is due to this world with the connection between the two that they are allowed to have telepathy between themselves.
Released Zanpakuto Description: Name: Shock absorber
Description: The two stones set in all four swords act as shock absorbers, and so if one of the four swords is hit, it can transfer the shock along to the other three, to absorb and distribute the shock along all four. This does not lessen the strength of the attack, it just merely means that they are better able to cope and withstand strong attacks as they only feel the shock at one quarter of its strength through each sword.
This is a passive ability, so it can’t be turned off at all in the fight, but it does have the downside that both of them will get hurt from an attack that only one of them is actually receiving, so it can serve to disrupt the other while they’re fighting someone. However, physical attacks which one of the gains, like a cut, won’t transfer to the other, just the pain of the cut will transfer to the other.
Name: Enhanced Telepathy
Description: In this ability, the two brothers can talk with each other in their minds a lot easier than they can at any other time, due to the closer connection with their joint inner world.
Also, the two zanpakuto spirits can talk telepathically to each other, or to the opposite brother, which is something that couldn’t happen with their normal telepathy.
Name: Reiatsu string
Description: The string of reiatsu which connects their blades becomes infused with even more reiatsu, so that it is very, very strong and tough, and when pulled taut it can be used to cut limbs – almost like fishing line, though you don’t need to be travelling fast to be decapitated by it. It is still invisible, so an opponent won’t know until too late that they are about to walk into sharp and tough reiatsu which can – and usually does – cut them.
It can extend up to 10m long, and even though it is invisible, it has the weakness that it can be seen in certain lighting, such as shadows which may be cast around it because it doesn’t have a shadow, and also in certain conditions, eg if there was frost in the air then vapour would cling to the reiatsu and create a faint outline of the strong, or dust created from a fire would do the same thing.
[list][*]All their other shikai attacks can be used in this form, with the only exception being that they will be connected together and so must co-ordinate their movements so as not to attack each other by accident. This form, to others, would seem as though it was more of a nuisance than a help in their attacks, but it allows them to reach a deeper connection with each other and their zanpakuto than they would have been able to normally achieve.
Zanpakuto Release Phrase:Release Phrase Translation: Kurayami ha raito wo motte kuru
Translation: Darkness brings the light
Released Zanpakuto Looks: The two blades are crossed over each other in an ‘X’ shape, with the white sword on top of the black one, and a shimmering grey-ish glow occurs around the two blades, signalling the start of the shikai transformation. At the end of the transformation, both boys hold two short, thin swords, with the blade being only 40cm, in both hands. Himitsu’s swords have a pure white hilt and guard, with a deep blue gem set in the end of the hilt, and the blade is also pure white with strange, black rune-like symbols running along its entire length.
Misuteri’s swords have a midnight black hilt and guard, with a deep red stone set into the end of its hilt, with the blade also being completely black, with strange white ruins running along its entire length. Both Misuri’s and Himitsu’s, swords are connected together by nearly invisible reiatsu lines, which can only be seen by the two brothers, as you need to have their unique reiatsu signature to be able to see it.
This means that they can only be up to 6m away from each other before the line is taut – though it can’t break, they just can’t move any further away from the other, otherwise one of them gets pulled in the direction the other is moving, and it can upset their standing and balance.
Other Techniques: Shunpo, kido, camouflaging themselves in any location, telepathy – but only between the two of them

Bankai Looks: (What your Zanpakuto looks like in Bankai state.)History and RP SampleHistory: Human Life:Early Life:Himitsu and Misuteri grew up in a small, farming village in the inland of Japan, away from anywhere else and very secluded; they were born near the end of the 1100’s, in the middle of the Japanese Feudal Era. In the village which they lived in, twins was a very rare sight, and so many of the villagers believed them to be demons incarnate, come to destroy all their crops and bring misfortune to the village. However, despite this prejudice from everyone, the two ignored it and lived peacefully in their little run-down shack with their accepting mother, who loved them no matter what was said.
They had a father as well, though he was a mighty Samurai, and so was hardly ever home; the fact that there was one redeeming member of the family was the only thing stopping the hostile villagers from attacking on sight. Himitsu and Misuteri were extremely close and protective of one another, and if one of them was being attacked than the other would always step in and help, no matter how far away he was, and this weird sort of communication between them added fuel to the flames of fear and hate of the different.
Misuteri preferred to keep to himself mostly, and so wasn’t at all affected by the alienation of the entire village, however his brother, Himitsu, was the type of person that needed to be liked or recognised, and so he was constantly hurting at the fact that nobody would give them the time of day.
It wasn’t until their mother was killed in a tragic accident as bandits ransacked the town, that they realised they didn’t belong there, and that they should leave. By the age of 15 the two had decided to leave, and they did without ever looking back.
The Samurai:As the two set out on their trek away from their home, they had no plan in mind of where to go, and instead just walking forever and a day. They walked along the road by day, and through the bushland and scrubs by night so as not to be attacked by unwanted figures of the night, and as they travelled they were able to build up their endurance and strength, so that they could better fight when they had to.
Food was rare to come by in a shop, and when they did come by a stall selling food, they rarely had any money because they had no way to earn it. As a result, they would either steal the food or go hungry when around the shops, but this wasn’t very sustainable, so they learnt how to live off the land, meaning they wouldn’t need to steal anymore. The two grew up identically, both in appearance and strength, and they were unmatched when it came to hand-to-hand combat.
Because of this talent, they were able to challenge people to fights for money, and they also turned to gambling. The two were also very beautiful, and so never had any trouble picking up women, though Misuteri never seemed to care much for it unlike his brother – he always preferred the gambling, which became his vice, while Himitsu’s vice was women. Their unpredictable lifestyle was taxing though fulfilling, as they hardly ever stayed in one place for too long, and they were able to earn money through various means, which they soon spent on women and gambling rather than food. However, when they were 20 they found themselves in the city of Kamakura in Kanagawa, the place where Minamoto Yoritomo set up his Samurai Government after winning against the Taira Clan in the Gempei War, which lasted 5 years, and ended when the boys were 5 years old.
Once they arrived there they set about doing the things which they always did, which wasn’t a problem as everybody did them. Unfortunately, Himitsu accidently tried to pick up a woman who was with her husband, who also happened to be an elite Samurai, and a fight started, which caused Misuteri to get involved to help his brother. The fight was eventually ended by the owner of the bar which they were in, and the two were taken to be punished for causing a public disturbance.
However, instead of being executed as they should have been, the two were offered places to train with the Samurai as the man they had fought had been very impressed with their style. Eager to follow in their father’s footsteps they accepted and trained hard to become elite Samurai, and they soon became Yorimoto’s best and most reliable men. This served to make them unpopular and not liked, but this time it didn’t matter as they had the approval of a powerful man and a real place to call home; every mission could be their last, but they always stayed together no matter what.
Death:At the turn of the century the Mongol’s invaded Japan, signalling the start of another war, which the Samurai were dispatched to so they could deal with it. The army of Samurai were far superior to those from Mongolia, and they easily started to fight them. During the battle, however, Misuteri became ill with a virus brought over on the ships, but he didn’t let it get him down as he was an elite Samurai who always put his job before his health. Himitsu, though, felt his brother’s pain in the form of sympathy pain, which caused them both to become distracted in the fight.
It wasn’t until a fight in the capital that this actually affected their fighting, and Misuteri, overridden with sickness in the middle of a fight, was struck down and killed. Overcome with intense grief and pain, as though he had been the one to have been killed, Himitsu went into a berserk rage, and started to kill everyone in his path, whether they be friend or foe. Eventually he too, in his blind rage, was struck with a sword in the chest and killed.
Life as a Soul and the Academy:As soon as the two were dead they met up again and watched the remainder of the battle, content that they were together again; they watched as the Samurai eventually defeated the Mongol’s and drove them back to their country, though they felt no sense of victory as though they were detached and disassociated with that world which they had lived.
For weeks they would drift along, much like they had for their whole life, but it was definitely different this time; there was an impending sense of wholeness around the corner, as though their entire life had been waiting for what was to come. After a few months they were finally visited by a man who looked strangely reminiscent of the Samurai whom they had been a part of for many years, though there was something different about him. His words made no sense, speaking of souls and shinigami, with the only word getting through being ‘dead’ – something they already knew they were.
Without any more talk or preparation the two were sent to Soul Society, which was very similar to their home. Thankfully they managed to stay together, a feat which they were assured later on was nearly impossible – though they didn’t mind because their life had been full of impossibilities. It wasn’t long that they stayed in the first district of Rukongai, living like they used to, until they were visited by some shinigami from the nearby school, who told them to enter it as they could feel their reiatsu from the school. It reminded them of when they were asked to become Samurai, which had been a worthwhile experience, and so they didn’t hesitate and enrol.
The academy wasn’t too hard, as it was just like the school for the Samurai, and so they were able to pass through all the classes with ease; it also helped that they could do the theory easily due to their intelligence. However, after entering the new year they found a problem which was vastly different to the Samurai: kido. Never before had they ever heard or seen kido, and so it gave them some trouble. However, Misuteri was able to master it within a few weeks, while it took his brother much longer. Though, Himitsu compensated for this by becoming incredibly popular, the natural leader of whatever group he was in, though both he and Misuteri were still inseparable, a fact which was usually the butt of most jokes concerning them.
It was almost as though they were in their own little world, and it wasn’t too soon after their third year that they found that they could communicate in their minds, which served to make speaking obsolete, unless absolutely necessary, or when speaking to other people.Misuteri’s own population soon sky-rocketed as he became known as the ‘nice’ guy after he found the gift of manipulation and subtle comments, something nobody ever realised he was doing other than Himitsu, who liked to encourage his brother’s new found love of mind games as it replaced the gambling. In their last year at the academy, Misuteri and Himitsu started to train in Rukongai, going over everything they knew and had ever learned in their life, as their previous life was starting to slip from their memories.
During one particularly intense training battle, their swords clashed together at right angles to form a cross, and an explosion of power was felt as they were both sucked into what they assumed would be their inner worlds. However, they found themselves together in one world, with two beings facing them opposite, shrouded in the dark lighting. Himitsu, being the outgoing guy he was, was the first one to greet the strange people.
“Hi there, who are you and where are we?” One of the figures moved forward so that she could be seen easier. She stood shorter than Himitsu, though her spear which she held easily surpassed his heaight. Her clothes appeared slightly tattered, and no clear colour could be seen in the dark, as she looked on with oddly piercing eyes.
”I am Oni, and I am the zanpakuto spirit belonging to Misuteri – I’m sure we’ll get along just fine. As for where you are, this is Dokomo, your joint inner world.” Misuteri’s face formed a frown as he thought of what that meant – he had never heard of a join inner world ever; not in any of the writings he had read. Did that mean he wouldn’t have an individual world?
”Do not be alarmed, I will take you to your inner world after the introductions are over. This other person here with me is Tenshi – she’s really shy, so don’t be surprised if she doesn’t talk to you.” At her name the younger and shorter girl mmoved forward, her features appearing angelic and soft as the lighting curled around her face. She did indeed look shy, but she made an effort to make eye contact with the brothers before ducking her head in embarrassment.
”Well, let’s get going” Without warning both boys were ripped from the world, and deposited in separate locations, in their own worlds. It was the first time in either life that they had been separated, and it wasn’t pleasant. After exiting the two worlds they arrived back in Rukongai, their released shikai swords laying on the ground at their feet. After their strange encounter with their spirits the boys would train together as either individuals or together as a team, building their teamwork and individual skills.
As a result of this training, they were able to create a new shikai, separate to their own individual ones, which used the joint inner world as the source of power, but they ad to be joined in some way in order to use it, which they had to learn to do, though it wasn’t that hard as they could talk in their minds, making movement more fluid and natural as they worked together.
Life as a shinigami:After seeing their potential, the twins were offered a spot in the second division before graduation, so once they graduated they were able to just slot into life as a shinigami as unseated members. However, it was soon seen that they were much more powerful than unseated officers, and so were moved up the ranks to become seated. They continued to move up the ranks as their lives progressed, until they were the 5th and 6th seats of the division.
Misuteri, never one for too much power, didn’t want to move up anymore, so when there was an opening of the lieutenant's position, and Himitsu took it and thus creating a spot for the 3rd seat, Misuteri declined it – the first thing he had done that his brother had not done. However, they were both also offered the Corps Commander and second in command of the Reversal Counter Force Squad, and they took it, with Himitsu – the natural leader – being the Corps Commander. They were content with life, which was great, though they both soon found that with their extremely good shunpo abilities, and the ability to hide very easily, then they were able to listen to confidential conversations with secrets not meant to be heard, which was great gossiping material.
However, they figured they should at least make a profit for their new great love, and so joined the Seireitei magazine, selling secrets so that other shinigami can have the pleasure out of reading about their other fellow shinigami. The next great stepping stone in their life, however, will be the achieving of bankai, which they are both working towards and hoping to achieve.

The wind rustled in the trees as the two brothers stood, looking out over the cliff which overlooked Seireitei, their home. In their first life they had called so many places home, without actually feeling at home, but finally, after dying, they were finally able to find that place which just felt right – which felt like home. Their hair whipped up, complete mirror images of the other, and it was as though there was only one man standing on the hill, and the other was just a trick of the light, making anyone watching think they were seeing double.
No words were spoken – no words needed to be spoken – as they contemplated their next mission, it was going to be a hard one and they weren’t at all sure they would survive it; however, words were still not spoken as they conveyed to each other their feelings and thoughts before finally moving from the cliff face to make the long trek down to commence their mission. Arriving in Seireitei Himitsu looked at his brother, identical green eyes connecting briefly before they both shunpoed in different directions, starting their plan.
Himitsu reached the building first, as Misuteri needed to get the equipment, and he cautiously checked the door for any bugs – being in the second division had made him extremely wary of traps and the like – and upon finding none, he eased the door open and stole inside, waiting for his brother to get there. He didn’t need to wait long, however, as Misuteri soon arrived, entering through the same door which Himitsu had opened, his arms full of expensive equipment used for surveying and monitoring conversations.
Their masks were over their faces, concealing their identity, and their black Onmitsukido uniforms clung nicely so they wouldn’t accidently set off any traps which might be around. Setting up the surveillance equipment, they turned it on, both twins receiving one earphone each to listen, as Misuteri adjusted the frequency so they were able to hear the conversation next door.
Giggling occurred at the statement as all the people within started idle gossip; they would need to wait a bit longer until they got down to business.
Misuteri rolled his eyes at his brother’s thought – they had been waiting for hours just to here that one line – and they both leaned in closer to get the best reception as possible; it was vital that they didn’t miss a single word.
A chorus of ‘yeah, course’ was heard, and Himitsu’s eyes lit up – finally, their hours of waiting were paying off! Misuteri, meanwhile, was writing the name on a pad with a pen; he was doing his job, which his brother was neglecting in the excitement of being able to finally do his job – how ironic.
The tension was thick as they waited – would their source pay off? Was the information correct?
Squeals were heard, but the twins had already started packing up and slipping out of the room, closing the door so it was exactly the way they found it, before exiting into the surrounding area, shunpoing until they were a safe distance away. They looked at each other, two identical sets of green eyes, and no words were needed, but Himitsu voiced them anyways.
