| Mukyuu had decided to devote this day to some intense and much needed training. But as she entered the training grounds on this beautiful, sunny day, her motivation to train dissolved and she decided that her time would be better spent taking a nice nap. She grinned as she walked to the center of the grounds and was soon sprawled out on the ground, lying on her back. Her zanpakuto was lying vertically on the ground next to her. She sighed deeply and closed her eyes.
Your concept of training really needs an overhaul. Mukyuu opened her eyes as Inazuma Ryuu’s deep voice filled her head, and he sounded very annoyed. She rolled her eyes and yawned loudly.
“But Inazuma Ryuu, I believe that my concept of training is way better than yours. And it’s so quiet and relaxing here right now; I couldn’t possible pass up this opportunity for a nap.” Mukyuu said, closing her eyes again. She chuckled as she felt Inazuma Ryuu’s anger flare up and she tried to imagine how ridiculous his face looked right now.
Gah! You’re so hopeless! You’ll always be stuck as an unranked loser and… Mukyuu decided to ignore her zanpakuto’s ranting session and instead enjoy this wonderful day. She was used to being scolded constantly by Inazuma Ryuu, and this time it was no different. She would get to her training eventually, but she was way too lazy at the moment. Mukyuu sighed deeply and let her mind wander as she began enjoying this beautiful day of "training."

| Yuki walked through the training grounds of the 13th division intending to use it as a short-cut to her own division. She usually cut through all the training grounds rather than going to normal way so as to avoid running into someone who might want to stop and talk - she hated it when that happened!
However, as she walked through the usually deserted training grounds, she saw a figure lying on the ground, and she felt sympathy for the girl. She must have been training so hard that she collapssed. Yuki loved to see that sort of dedication in officers, and so figured the least she could do was help the girl - maybe give her some water, and call a fourth division member if need be. When she was closer she called out so that she could be easily heard.
"Are you alright?" | |

| Mukyuu cracked open an eye as someone's voice reached her ears. Her eyes then shot open as she saw the captain of the 10th division standing over her. She panicked, because she had been caught being lazy when she was supposed to be training, and that never ended well for her. She grabbed her zanpakuto and jumped to her feet, but she used a little too much force while grabbing her sword, so she ended up smacking the end of the hilt into her forehead. She let out a yelp as she rubbed her forehead with her right hand, while her left hand was holding her zanpakuto. A roaring laughter suddenly filled her head. That's what you get for blowing off your training. Inazuma Ryuu said smugly. Mukyuu made a mental note to kill him then next time she was in her inner world.
"Er, I'm fine, Captain. I was just...resting." Mukyuu said with a nervous laugh. Her eyes wandered along the ground and avoided making contact with Yuki's eyes, because she was feeling slightly guilty for getting caught slacking off. Inazuma Ryuu was right...I hate it when he's right... she thought bitterly.

| Yuki watched as the girl jumped up so quickly that she - somehow - whacked herself in the head with her zanpakuto. She seems awfully nervous... She wasn't sure if this was because she was in the presence of a captain, a captain had found her resting after her training session, or... a captain had found her slacking off and resting when she should be training. Yuki's eyes narrowed slightly - if it was the last one then she would not be pleased, considering she was feeling sorry for the 'hard-working and dedicated' shinigami.
"I hope your training was going well for you." Her eyes bore unyielding and bore into the girl's own and there was intelligence in their depths as she calculated all the girls movements and her next words to see whether she was lying.

| Mukyuu's eyes locked with Yuki's, and she knew then that there was no way out of this situation. It was as if the captain's dark eyes were gazing into her very soul, and it made Mukyuu very uncomfortable. 'Well, I guess telling her the truth would be better than lying...' she thought, letting out a defeated sigh.
"Uh, yeah, about that...I actually haven't been training..." Mukyuu confessed, preparing herself to be scolded by the captain. She then quickly added, "B-but I was going to get some training done today...eventually..." She was telling the truth; she really did want to train today. Mukyuu was just lazy and liked to procrastinate when it came to training.

| It was obvious to see that the other person was uncomfortable, and it was just as she had begun to suspect - the girl hadn't been training at all. At least she's honest - that's a good thing. Yuki raised an eyebrow when she said that she was getting around to training, a very small smile graced her features - so small that you couldn't see it unless you were extremely close, which the girl was not.
"Would you happen to need a training partner? By the way, what's your name?"

| "A training partner? Oh yeah, definitely. Training's way more fun with two people." Mukyuu said, smiling brightly. Behind that smile, however, she was slightly nervous; a captain wanted to train with her. Mukyuu was just an unseated officer, many leagues below Yuki in skill. But then again, Mukyuu was always up for a challenge.
"Oh, and my name's Mukyuu. Mukyuu Shinsetsu." she said, nodding at the captain. The nerves were beginning to fade as her excitement built up. She had never sparred with a captain before; she had only watched them spar with each other or higher ranks. She would definitely like to see how she faired against one.

| Yuki was mildly surprised that the girl - Mukyuu - had agreed to sparring with her; most people were intimidated by the fact that she was a captain, and probably stronger than them. However, this girl looked excited to be versing her - she had to give her credit, when she'd offered she had been expecting her to decline, but she rose to the challenge. Yuki could hardly give the smile away from her lips as she moved backwards a few paces to get into a good stance for sword fighting - though she'd definitely go easy on her.
"I'll allow you to make the first move as you are at an obvious disadvantage."
She placed her left hand on the hilt of her sword in preparation to draw it, wondering how the other shinigami would approach this task. Yuki knew that she would be at a very miniscule disadvantage when it came to manuevering to block attacks as she was left handed - something that wasn't very common in Seireitei - and the girl was probably right handed. But then again, the same disadvantage could be said for Mukyuu as she might have a hard time blocking some of Yuki's hits.

| Mukyuu grinned as she took a fighting stance, with her zanpakuto held out in front of her. 'Any advice?' she asked Inazuma Ryuu in her head. The spirit was silent for a moment before responding. Don't make an idiot out of yourself. he said sternly. Mukyuu smiled before sprinting at Yuki.
'No promises, Inazuma Ryuu.' she said in her mind. She got close to Yuki and slashed her zanpakuto at her horizontally. It was an easily blocked attack, and Mukyuu knew it. She would mess around for a while before she got serious, just so she got the feel for her opponents fighting style.

| Yuki nodded in her mind approvingly of the girl's stance, which showed that she was at least capable of fighting; she was glad for this as she hadn't wanted to fight someone with absolutely no skill. She watched as Muykyuu started to sprint forward, her critical eyes taking in everything before the girl slashed horizontally at her.
Bringing up her zanpakuto, she easily blocked the attack, the sound of metal on metal ringing through the air. Yuki pushed the blade away and moved back a few steps languidly. However, even if it appeared that she lacked enthusiasm, her eyes shone brightly with intelligence as she soaked in every movement made; she had never been known to underestimate an opponent just because they appeared to be lesser in power.
After she had put a few steps distance between them she waited the next attack, wondering what she would do next.
