Exploring the World [Open]

Soifon sighed in contentment as she was hit by a rush of warm air when she stepped into the human world. It was so much warmer than the cold Soul Society. She had gotten a day off since she finished her paperwork early and there really wasn't anything to do around the Soul Society, so she decided to come here. She hadn't been to the human world in so long, and she wondered if it had changed much. It had. There were so many people and so many new things! Soifon's eyes were wide at the sight of it all.

She was dressed in a modern human outfit. Tight black jeans and a black T-shirt that had the name of some band (or at least she guessed that was what it was) on it. On her feet were combat boots with high heals. She looked about an inch taller than normal.

Soifon slowly walked down a road filled with shops, stopping every so often to look in the windows and admire all the pretty things. She had to get out more often!

The 2nd Division Captain wasn't the only Shinigami who had decided to kill spare time in the world of the living. Wandering the streets in a black suit, the jacket slung over his shoulder and his messy black hair pulled back into a rough ponytail, was the 1st Division's Lieutenant. The Soul Society had been rather quiet recently, and Seizon had quite a bit of time on his hands. Of course, he still had Captain Kurotsuchi's prototype reiatsu grenade to present to the Captain-Commander, but he'd thought it prudent to wait until Mayuri-sama had prepared a thorough report. Kensei-sama would want to know everything there was to know about this new weapon before he considered approving it for mass-production.

Occasionally casting his gaze into the shop windows as he passed them, Seizon rolled his left shoulder again. This gigai was just a bit too small; unnoticeably so at first, but he had started feeling it now. More irritating, however, was how weakened he felt. With the Gentei Kaijo limiter reducing him to a paltry twenty percent of his full, Captain-level power, he was still having trouble adjusting to the sudden change in the strength of his reiatsu.

Speaking of reiatsu - whose was the spiritual pressure he could feel nearby? The Lieutenant had been so focused on his thoughts he hadn't felt it sooner. His slate grey eyes narrowed as he peered through the milling crowds, searching out a face to put to the reiatsu... He soon found her. Blinking, wondering to himself why she of all people was here, he stepped through the constantly shifting masses and made himself known once he was close.

"That gigai rather suits you, Captain Soifon..."

Soifon saw a large building with a picture of a coffee cup on it. "The Hard Rock Cafe" said the sign out front. Soifon hadn't drunk anything for a while, and, with all the new things to see, she hadn't realized she was thirsty. She walked to the door and slowly opened it, a little nervous about interacting with normal people. It had been so long since she talked to a human. She slowly walked up to the front and looked at the long list of drinks posted above. "I'll have a medium cappuccino," she told the man at the desk, hoping she pronounced it right. The man nodded, so she must have.

Soifon waited a few minutes, looking around the cafe while her coffee was being made. It was a large place, with many tables and chairs. The place where she bought coffee in the Soul Society wasn't half as big.

"Here," the man behind the counter said, and gave her her coffee. As she took a sip and looked back to thank him, she noticed he was studying her intently. Soifon frowned, then glared at him. "Yes?" she asked, coldly. The man smirked. "Y'know, I haven't seen many hot chicks around here in a while. What do ya say ya come to my house? We can have a bit of 'fun'." he winked at her. Soifon blinked at him, then turned on her heal and stomped out. "The nerve!" she muttered under her breath, seething.

Soifon slowly sipped her coffee and began to walk quickly along the sidewalk again, brushing past people. She stopped when she heard a familiar voice and looked up. "Lieutenant Hakaisha. Hello." She greeted him coolly, as she always did. She frowned at his comment, still thinking about what the man in the cafe had said. "What do you mean by that?" she demanded, eyes narrowed.

The characteristically cold manner in which the Captain greeted him didn't faze Seizon as much as the potential reason behind it. The way she phrased her question, he guessed she'd already been asked about it.
"I simply mean the clothes seem to be your style," he answered lightly, his tone indicating that he meant no offence. He tilted his head and looked past her, glancing at the building she'd exited as he approached. He nodded in its direction. "Did someone in there say something that struck a nerve, by any chance?"

Soifon looked at him suspiciously, clutching the coffee so tightly the top almost came flying off. She nodded slowly, blushing slightly from her strong reaction to his statement. Of course he meant nothing by it, she told herself, shaking her head. I shouldn't get so worked up over these things. "Yes someone said something to me," she muttered, glaring back at the shop she had come out of. She wished she could tell that man exactly what she thought of him... or rather show him, but she wasn't supposed to use her powers outside the Soul Society unless someone was in danger. She started walking quickly, trying to forget about it. "I suppose you have a day off too?" she asked, looking back at Seizon.
