Confessions (Izuru) {Private}

filling out the last report from the world of the living.she dropped her pen and leaned back against her seat.Ever since she had become a captain paper work has been spilling in.the work seemed to increase as the demon reports came in.there was another war coming and this was not good.she sighed and rubbed her temples.it was a good thing she mastered her bankai in time as well as high level kido spells.Since she was finished with her work.the former lieutenant rose from her seat and walked towards the door.as she did so,she caught her reflection in the mirror.she noticed that she had grown a few inches taller.her hair was a bit longer as well.too long to be kept in a bun anymore.her raven hair was now left loose.with loose strands of hair framing her face.her large brown eyes.were slightly tired.her smooth leach skin wasn't as pale as it was a few months ago.she noticed that she had developed more of a curvy figure.not as curvy as rangikus but it was a small change.she seemed older.she appeared to be sixteen or seventeen.Momo smoothed out her shinigami uniform while adjusting her captains haori.she also made sure that her zapakuto tobiume was strapped firmly at her side.After running her fingers through her hair.she headed out the door shutting it behind her.

It wasn't such a bad day really.in fact it was quite beautiful.Her light pink lips curved into a slight smile.her eyes traveled to the division quarters.she passed the fourth division.the hospital standing proud.the place sent a shiver up her spine.it reminded her of the scar that marked her chest after Aizen's encounter.a slight spark of sadness flashed in her eyes.it disappeared quickly.no...i shouldn't feel sad.....he was a traitor and he is not worth my time.. she thought firmly to herself with a slight frown.then the third division made it's appearance.izuru then came to mind.when was the last time she talked to him? Since the promotion that took place two months ago.she decided to see if he too caught up with his work.

Walking to the front entrance.she stopped in front of the door and knocked lightly.Izuru...you in there?

The blond captain let go a small bored sigh as he stood up from his desk. Today was another one of those paper filled days. Almost everyday he would end up getting exhausted and then fall asleep on his couch. So , lately he had learned to take breaks if he go to tired. That way he his subordinates would find him on the couch and think he was dead. That happened only a week a good when his thirtieth seat came skipping in. The blond was laying sprawled out on the couch in a awkward position with his arm hanging of the couch. Upon seeing if the girl burst into a frantic screaming Kira Taichou many times as she shook. Kira made a face at it in his thoughts as he thought and the two hours he spent coming her down before she fainted. After that he brought the girl to hospital then went off to bed because it was late.

Kira made a bored face at his window as the last of the stressful memory faded away. The blond stared at the brightly sky outside for a while. And let his mind wander which caused him to hallucination three figures walking outside the barracks. Those figures were his former Captain Ichimaru , 3rd seated version Yuuri and himself. Izu sighed slightly at the sight and watched the fake figures as they walked farther and farther into the distance. As the figures got smaller the blond wondered if this hallucination was the missing beginning to the dream last. It seemed to fit , but then again he had been wrong before. When the figures finally disappeared Kira pulled his legs up onto the window sill and stared down at his feet. A couple moments later he he heard a light knock on the door followed a faint girls voice. Immediately after hearing the blond dragged himself to the door and opened. '' Hello Momo" he told her a calm tone as a couple lowered ranked officer walked by the room and then disappeared around the corner.

As she waited,momo thought about how things were with izuru.ever since izuru worked under gin.izuru's mischievous and sly behavior had vanished.it was quickly replaced with a depressed and calm attitude.his personality got slightly worse after gin's betrayal.Now that she thought of it, that was one of her reasons for disliking the fox faced captain. His betrayal to the soul society and izuru made her dislike offical.she sighed.she missed izuru's old behavior and hoped that eventually he would return to his former self just as she got over her obsession with aizen,but since that possiblility was small momo decided to make it her personal goal to at least get him to smile and laugh a little.Momo's thoughts were interrupted as she could hear a faint sigh as the blond captain made it to the door and opened it."hello momo" she smiled.hey izuru she replied in a gentle yet cheerful tone while stepping up and hugging him like she normally did to her friends.She then released him after a few seconds and took a step back to give him some roomHow are you? she asked as her brown eyes studied his expression.his blue eyes were tired and slightly bored,his captain's haori was slightly messed up,without thinking momo adjusted his haori as she waited for him to speak..a large stack of papers caught the former lieutenants eye.it seems that he had finished a bit early.excellent. Momo thought to herself while brushing a strand of hair away from her eyes as she released the now straightend haori from her hands.

The blond was startled slightly by the small girls sudden hug but he tried not show. After hugging him the girl returned his hello. Shortly after that the girl took a step back asked him how he was. To be honest the blond was extremely tried and all that jazz. But , he didn’t want to bring Momo down by telling her that. Plus he knew that she didn’t like it when he was all depressed. But , he usually wad depressed these days anyway. That was usually because of the dreams he been having lately. There was always a number of others that he didn’t know about. " I’m good" he lied even though she had probably figured out he wasn’t by now. After he had spoke he saw the girl take a step toward him again. This time she fixed his blue captains haori. It was then he knew she probably had defiantly figured out his mood.

Sighing to himself in his thought he steeped a side slightly. That way they girl could in his office , so the could talk in private. The hallway wasn’t exactly the best place to talk in his squad barracks. Most of his squad members loved to talk and gossip even in the subject was in the room. Kira didn’t like that aspect of them too much , but he had never said anything. Even though in the past the had said many things about him. As the blond waited for the girl to enter he wrinkled his nose slightly. And then looked into his office hoping that it wasn’t to messing looking. His flustered mood lately had caused him to slack off on certain tasks so he hoped that she didn’t mind. 'Why don't you come in Momo I can make us some tea" he told with an attempted small smile , but as usual it probably failed.

" I’m good" momo knew right away that he was lying.though she didnt think it would be appropriate to point this out.'Why don't you come in Momo I can make us some tea" momo nodded once and smiled as she saw a small smile appear on his lips.as she stepped inside his office. she looked around.it was messy but it didnt look too different from her own office. he was stressed and tired again.here izuru sit down and relax..i'll make the tea... she said gently while walking over to the cabinet that contained the tea,the tea pot and the cups. she walked over to the sink in the corner of the room.filled the pot with water and put the tea mix inside the water. she stirred a few times with a spoon until it was well mixed then concentrated her spiritual energy into her hand.causing her hand to heat up.within a few minutes the tea was ready. she then poured the tea into two cups and handed izuru his cup with a smile. she then took a seat at the window sill and silently drank her tea.how have you been feeling? are you still having nightmares? momo asked in a concerned tone.

After the small brunette girl had entered the room and blond shut the door to. Looking to her he noticed her take a look around the room. Izu made a face in his thoughts and that hoped she would mention the mess. Even though he knew the girl knew he wasn’t usually this messy. Shortly after he examination of the office the brunette captain told him to sit down and relax and told him she would take care of the tea. Izuru really didn’t want to argue with her about the matter. Although it was politer for him to do it because the smaller busted girl was his guest. '' Alright he said the girl calmly before going a sitting on the couch. As the girl went over to the cupboard where he kept the tea and teapot as well as a few cups.

As the girl prepared the tea sighed slightly and rested his hands in his lap. He could feel a yawn coming on , but he tried to repress it. Because he thought it would off rude to his guest. He didn’t want Momo to think that she was boring him. Shortly after the girl came and gave him his cup of tea before going over to sit on the window sill. Saying nothing he got up and went to sit across from her on the window sill. After he was seated he took a sip of his own tea. When he had only been sitting there a second the girl spoke once more before he could thank her for making the tea. She asked him how he had been feeling and if he was still have nightmares. The blond looked down at his tea slightly when she asked that.

For feelings the blond was feeling like usually depressed self. But , he was feeling tried from all the paperwork he had to stay up late doing. As for dreams they had become nightly routine for him. And they all usually ended with him waking up in a cold sweat. After later it took him at least a couple hours to get back to sleep. Which added to the tried feeling he had been getting from the mass amounts of paperwork. " The paperwork's been draining me for the most part. " he told her in a calm tone after looking back at her. " Hai Unfortunately... the nightmares still seem to occur every night. " he told her in a tone that sounded kind of depressed. After speaking he took another sip of his tea and the rested it in his lap with both hands holding the cup.

" momo watched as he walked over and sat across from her.she understood how that felt.but by now she was used to it.she nodded once as he continued." Hai Unfortunately... the nightmares still seem to occur every night. " momo caught the depression in his tone. she could see it in his eyes as well. it was also mixed with his exhaustion. her brown eyes were filled with sympathy.she used to have nightmares every night for an entire year since aizen's betrayal. of course as she got over aizen completely two months later, the nightmares topped. its been a few years since she had nightmares now. momo let her hand reach forward and gently caressed the right side of his face.it was comforting, and understanding.i'm sorry to hear that..... she finally answered in a soft tone.

Kira sighed slightly as he stared down at the tea swirling in his cup. He then hoped Momo didn’t think he was some depressed weirdo. He personally didn’t know why he was having such dreams. Why am i so confused all the time had crossed his mind on so many occasions. So much that he had stared writing haiku about it as attempt to figure it out. Ones like :

It lurks in the night
What are you trying to say
Because I’m sure lost.

Thinking about it made another idea for a haiku come to his mind about it. he didn’t want to forget it because it might be a clue. But , he didn’t want to seem rude getting to get paper for a reason that was hard to explain. He found himself writing alot of the ones that came into his mind at any given time , but he didn’t think Momo needs to know that. Sighing once more he took another sip of his tea before looking back up at Momo. Just as she reached her hand up to gently caress the side of his face. As she did so a small amount of pink appeared on his cheeks. After that she told him that she was sorry to hear of about his nightmares. " Thanks Momo" he said calmly before take another sip of tea once more. " I just wish there was something i could." He said finally with a small depressed sigh in his tone.

Momo watched the third division's captain turn a light shade of pink.a small smile appeared on her lips.it was quite cute on him."thanks momo.." not a problem at all.... she answered as he took a sip of his tea before finishing. " I just wish there was something i could." Momo blinked and tilted her head slightly.could what izuru? she asked softly as he let a depressed sigh escape his lips she patted his shoulder softly.without saying a word.she noticed that he was lost in thought.leanimg her head against his shoulder without thinking.she asked.so how's your hiku coming along?

As he continued to stare into his cup of tea he heard the girl speak once more. She had asked him to finish his previous sentence that he failed to finish. As he looked back she patted his shoulder gently to comfort. He figured it was probably because she sense something was bothering him like she always could. The had been friends since academy days so, she was bound to figure him out when she knew him that long. The blond captain then sighed softly to himself. " the nightmares ... I just don’t know what to do about them any more. " he told in a kind of sadden tone before he took a sip from his glass. A short later he found himself looking to his glass again. Which seemed to worry the small brunette girl because she laid her head on his skinny shoulder.

The girl then asked him how his haiku was coming along. It was coming along allot often especially after his nightmares. In fact he found himself writing at least one every day now as some sort of stress release. But of course the worry always came back later on. Despite that he didn’t want to say too much about it and worry the fifth squad captain. She had enough to worry about with all the paper work that was coming in lately. But he then remembered his previous words and knew those would probably worry her. He made a annoyed face his thoughts at this and then looked down at he slightly. " Very Well actually" he said in attempt to sound kind of cheerful.

Momo listened as he confessed that he didn't know what to do about his dreams anymore.she thought about in the academy days about how restless she was during the night.she remembered how renji and izuru would allow momo to sneak into their dorm at night.Momo would usually curl up next to Izuru an drifted off to sleep.Momo's memories were interrupted by izuru's attempt to sound cheerful about his hiku.momo knew he was still depressed.

She thought for a moment then said.Remember when I got restless during the night and I would bunk with you and renji? she asked with a smirk on her face.you used to tease me a lot about it before I offically went to sleep, she said, reminding him of some good memories to put him at ease. I remember when renji teased us about it and you shot at him with a hado 4 spell she smiled. The academy years were fun. Until Izuru she and renji seperated into different divisions.when she izuru and Renji.all met up again as squad five members izuru and renji had changed in personality.it wasn't long before renji got transferred to the 6th division and Gin became captain, making izuru his lieutenant with her as aizen's lieutenant.

Momo didn't bring this part up. Instead she quietly asked. do you ever miss the academy days?

As he stared into his he heard the small girl ask him if he remembered when she used to get restless during the night. He look up at her as she reminded him of how he used tease her alot before she fell asleep. The girl then continued on to tell him about how he used to shoot hado 4 at Renji when every he teased them about it. Kira attempt to smile slightly at the memory but the smile disappeared shortly after. As he drifted off looking to his cup again the girl asked if he ever missed the academy. The blond captain found himself missing them slightly because his captain was still around. And because he was happier being around his friends all the time. Do him wrong it was all worth it getting out there and raising in the ranks. He was now a captain which was of the biggest accomplishments.


As he thought about it some more he remembered how Renji used to hit when he said something stupid which was alot back then. Now a days the young blond was more care with his words for the most part. " Sometimes... it was so much easier back then ni?" He finally replied with a small sigh. As it began to rain outside the window they were sitting at. Upon hearing to the glass and took another sip from his tea. Waiting for the girl to speak again he watched the rain as it really was something interesting to watch. As he took another sip from his tea again a loud boom sounded from the sky outside.

Momo watched as izuru attempted to smile as she finished the story about their academy lives.momo smiled as well but it didn't last long as izuru's smile faded and his gaze fell down to his cup. Momo already knew the answer to her question.during those times Gin had been around,less paper work was given and they were all together with yuuri instead of seperated. Ever since that all changed she could understand the feeling of longing for those days to go back to the way they once were. Momo could remember how happy izuru was and she could remember whenever izuru said something careless he would get hit by renji much to momo's constant protesting about the two friends fighting.but despite this, everything was more peaceful and fun. An only got better as yuuri and shuhei became involved with the group. However things were much different these days. Izuru wasn't as much as a cheerful tease as he once was, Shuhei and yuuri became more busy with work,Gin had betrayed them and even Renji has become a bit more serious and mature over time. And for a while, she herself had been an emotional wreck for a couple of months.

Momo sighed and closed her eyes.yes....everything was definately more easier back then than it is now... she replied. Agreeing with his statement.Momo heard light tapping against the glass window and she opened her eyes to see that it was raining.quite amusing to see when one was bored.Lightning then struck the sky causing the rain to fall heavily to a point when everything seemed like a blurry photograph. Most would be disappointed by this but surprisingly momo started to laugh.

Looks like I'm not going anywhere anytime soon,hope you're not too disappointed about it Momo said teasingly while taking a last sip of her tea.
