Basic InformationName: Byuuto Voruta
Appeared Age: 20
Gender: Male
Division: 5th
Rank: 4th Seat
Organization: Kido Corps
Looks: Personality: Voruta is a quiet man that constantly seems to be scoping everyone out whether they be friend or enemy, but once he feels that he knows a person's intentions, he warms up to them. He loves to have fun and he considers fighting his favorite past time no matter how seriously he seems to take it.
He is jokingly cocky around friends, but once in battle it all goes away. He has fought for his life maybe thousands of times and he knows how he must act in battle. He normally shows respect for his opponent, though he may have disdain of whoever he is fighting, he refuses to show it. In victory, he walks away with only two words, "Good fight". In defeat, he says the same and only expects to feel the freezing cold embrace of death again.
Though anger is far from what Voruta feels when fighting, he does succumb to the emotion at times. If an opponent has hurt a friend of his, Voruta's demeanor changes immediately. Though anger usually has a blinding effect on people, it usually allows Voruta to see more clearly. Since he usually keeps the hate he feels for his enemies within, anger is almost like relief to him. Since he became a vaizard, he hasn't been able to express his anger. In fact, anger almost always means that his inner hollow is preparing to take over.
One thing that he doesn't do is forget. Even after all these years, he still remembers the shinigami that performed his soul burial. After his time at the Academy, she was nowhere near Soul Society and he fears that he may have lost her forever. At the same time, he knows that she isn't dead, it's the same feeling he had when he fought back against the bullies. He knows that she's watching him.

Zanpakuto InformationZanpakuto Name: Bengosha (Defender)
Zanpakuto Looks: Bengosha in the sealed form looks like a plain asauchi zanpakuto.
Released Zanpakuto Description: Magarime (Turn away) is an ability based on brute strength and a slight amount of reiatsu. He uses the shield of his shikai to bat a reiatsu-based attack back in the enemy's direction or just deflect it away. He charges the shield with a little reiatsu and uses brute strength to redirect the attack. The reiatsu used depends on the strength of the reiatsu-based attack. If the attack hits the enemy after being batted back, it is slightly less powerful.
Kikan, kikan (Mirror, Mirror) allows Voruta to place a temporary copy of himself wherever the mirror of his shield is facing. The copy is made of reiatsu from within the shield and can be killed with a single hit to the body. It can't use any of Bengosha's abilities, but it can attack with the same strength as Voruta.
Kireme (Break) is an ability that reveals the true nature of Magarime. Magarime absorbs a bit of the reiatsu from every attack it bats away. Upon cracking the mirror portion of his shield, the energies are released in the form of pure kido. He can use the kido energy to supplement his own kido spells, allowing him to use less reiatsu to power a spell or add more power to a spell. Upon releasing the kido energy, it surrounds his reiatsu, giving it a golden border.
Zanpakuto Release Phrase: Bannin-ga Kasuka (Guard the Weak)
Released Zanpakuto Looks: Bengosha becomes a long katana (about 32 inches) with a golden tsuba and a black blade. There's also a round shield with a mirror in the center of it. The shield is pure black. A golden rope is attached to the shield, allowing Voruta to hang it around his neck.

History and RP SampleHistory: Byuuto Voruta was born into a single parent household. His father was a doctor and his mother had died while giving birth to him. At the age of five, he learned that not all people are good as bullies would chase him home and beat him up. So Voruta was not born a fighter, he had battle forced upon him early on in life. These bullies picked on him because he didn't have a mother, they never left him alone. He went through this for over two years. At this time, he could out run the hands and feet of his enemies, but not their jeers. His father, knowing of his troubles, bought him a wooden sword and told him to do what he had to.
At the end of school the next day, he refused to run as the other boys began circling in on him again. He retrieved the sword from a hiding place and began returning the pain that they had inflicted on him. And though he came home tired and bloody that day, he was happy. He knew that the things said about his mother were not likely to be repeated, and he felt her smiling at him.
Seven years passed and during those seven years, Voruta continued to train. At the age of 14, he now had many friends, some of them were the boys that used to bully him. He knew now that they did what they did because if they hadn't, they would've ended up beaten just like Voruta. He doesn't consider that an excuse, he knows that bad judgement is a large part of being young. But some things never change, some of his friends were still being bullied by the same pathetic dunces from seven years ago. At this time they all knew how to fight, but Voruta was the only one with the speed to contest their brawn. He began his bullied friends how to fight as he does and though none of them learned as fast as he did, their power did grow. As a group, they began fending off their enemies and after awhile, no one dared to mess with Voruta's friends.
Five years went by with no problems, but Voruta began seeing things that others didn't. Big, black monsters that destroyed streets and structures, looking for small ghostlike beings. He mentioned them to his friends one day, but they all looked at him like he was crazy. After this discussion, two of his closest friends approached him and informed him that they too had seen the monsters. They formed a plan, they decided to try and fight the monsters. A week later, five of the monsters appeared near their school. The three of them ran out to meet the monsters, but someone in a black kimono was struggling to fight them. Voruta and his friends joined in the fight but only distracted the hollow. The shinigami screamed something and destroyed a third hollow with a burst of blue. Voruta had been yearning to see the shinigami's face all throughout the fight and it had been distracting him. Suddenly he fell, feeling the claws of a hollow at his back, the shinigami rushed over to him and attempted to heal him, but had no success. Voruta peered at the face of the shinigami, feeling as if he'd seen her face before. He felt death drag his soul from his body, this happened because of the same bad judgment he thought he was too good for. The hollow attempted to devour him, but at the same time the shinigami was performing a soul burial. In the end, Voruta's spirit overpowered the hollow and was sent to Soul Society.
Alongside the Shinigami that performed his soul burial, Voruta landed in the middle of the Shinigami Academy. Voruta was passing out, but he could have sworn he heard the woman say "This is my son, please allow him to be trained here." Three days later, he awoke within 4th squad's barracks with a warm towel on his head and two shinigami toiling over him. He asked why he was there, but all they knew was that he had been injured and it was their job to watch after him. They said that someone would take him to the Shinigami Academy soon. He asked them what a shinigami is and why do they have a school, but the two just laughed and walked away.
In the Academy, Voruta became known as one of the top swordsman after spending three years there. His kidou had a habit of exploding, but his sword skills seemed to more than make up for that. In his time at the Academy, Voruta learned all about shinigami, their abilities, and their duties. By graduation, Voruta was the tenth best swordsman in his class and the worst kidou student the academy had ever seen.
Voruta went straight into 11th Division as an unseated officer, and spent years rising to tenth seat. During this time, he learned Kendo from Zaraki Kenpachi in order to give him an advantage against those who would challenge him for his seat. After learning Kendo, in secret and to avoid ridicule, he trained in kido so that he could become a more well-rounded shinigami. He trained hard for decades, slowly mastering every kido he could. Upon finding out the true nature of his zanpakuto, he left and later on became 5th Division's 4th seat. He also joined the Kido Corps after proving himself to be skilled in kido.
RP Sample: A whisper invaded the peaceful moonlit sky and Voruta perked up immediately. The whisper became louder and louder still until Voruta realized that it was the scream of a human, just a couple blocks away. He rushed through Karakura Town quickly until he reached the woman who had been running away from a hollow. It was a base hollow and Voruta let out a bit of a laugh until he realized that the ground itself was shaking. He looked up and saw a Menos Grande just above the skyline. He rushed forward, slashing through the base hollow with a single strike.
“Bannin-ga Kasuka, Bengosha” he said as his zanpakuto split into a katana and shield.
The gillian opened its mouth and fired a cero, but Voruta flew into it and batted it back into its face. The giant fell, crashing through a building. It rose again quickly, lashing Voruta with its long tongue and forcing him to crash through another building. He rose up, noticing the crack in his shield and the golden reiatsu releasing from it. He dashed into the hollow, flash stepped behind it and spoke.
“Sokatsui! Shitotsu Sansen” he yelled, releasing a burst of blue straight into his mask that was followed by a triangle of golden light. The gold caught the gillian, pinning him to a wall. With a smile, he approached the gillian and rose his sword over his head. “Goodbye” he said, forcing his sword through the hollow's mask with ease.
