Zanpakuto InformationZanpakuto Name: Ketsuen Sakenomi (Blood Drinker)
Zanpakuto Looks: Click hereReleased Zanpakuto Description:- Ketsuen Hiru (Blood Leech): Ketsuen Sakenomi’s primary, passive ability allows Seizon to drain the reiryoku of his opponents by absorbing blood from injuries inflicted upon them using his Shikai. This extra reiryoku makes his healing faster, his Kido more powerful and his physical strength and speed greater, while proportionally weakening the victim. The benefits also increase as Seizon accumulates more absorbed reiryoku; the longer one spends fighting him, the more dangerous he becomes. Ketsuen Sakenomi also constantly absorbs ambient reishi from Seizon’s surroundings for the same effect, though this method is much less efficient. Obviously, this ability is useless against enemies that do not somehow bleed. Fighting Arrancars and Menos of Adjucha-class and above is also a problem, since Seizon must penetrate their Hierro before he can begin draining them.
- Ketsuen Himei (Blood Scream): An offensive ability, Ketsuen Himei takes one of two forms and requires Seizon to draw his own blood upon Ketsuen Sakenomi. If he draws blood upon the blade of the katana, he swings the weapon and fires a crescent-shaped blast of energy (similar to Getsuga Tensho) with a maximum range of three hundred metres. Rather than exploding, however, this attack
devours what it strikes; it leaves behind a pestilent energy that rots and corrodes anything it touches, rapidly disintegrating all matter in its path (comparable to Barragan’s Respira). This effect works on more or less anything, from reishi and real-world matter to Kido and Cero. If he draws blood upon the claws of his gauntlet, this crescent wave becomes a continuous flame-like jet with a range of fifty metres. Its matter disintegration is half as fast, but the attack can be maintained for up to ten seconds and therefore can cover a large area.
Zanpakuto Release Phrase: “Bleed them dry, Ketsuen Sakenomi”
Released Zanpakuto Looks: Ketsuen Sakenomi’s Shikai takes the form of a large
katana and a black and red armoured gauntlet encasing Seizon’s left hand and forearm.
Bankai Information Bankai Description: Seizon’s Shikai abilities are present in Bankai, with a large increase in power. The ranges of his Ketsuen Himei crescent and fire increase to six hundred and two hundred metres, respectively, and their rates of matter disintegration double. The bladed appendages attached to his body, each ten metres in length, serve as his weapons. As well as this, he gains two new abilities:
- Ketsuen Yari (Blood Spear): Seizon draws blood upon one of his blades and drives it into the ground. Twenty spears seemingly made of crystallised blood erupt out of nearby surfaces to lacerate and impale enemies with blinding speed. The spears can reach a maximum length of thirty metres, but the points from which they extend can be no more than three metres apart.
- Ketsuen Arashi (Blood Storm): Seizon’s ultimate attack requires that all of his blades have the blood of his enemies upon them. The blades glow red, charging a huge amount of reiatsu, before Seizon sweeps them forward towards his target. A colossal wall of seething black energy, like that of Ketsuen Himei, is fired at the target at blistering speed, devouring all matter in its path. Ketsuen Arashi has a maximum range of one kilometre (that is to say it can move up to one kilometre away from Seizon before dissipating), and can turn to follow a target if Seizon uses his hands to control its movements. It can be maintained for up to thirty seconds. Once it dissipates, it cannot be used again in the same release.
Bankai Looks: Click hereHistory and RP SampleHistory: Born in the 41st District of Rukongai, Seizon Hakaisha's life was a simple and uneventful one. The family he was raised with made their living selling sweets and other such items, and he did his part to help out whenever possible. As he grew older, he took on more and more tasks around the shop, until he eventually took over as its proprietor. He held the position for some years, settling into his simple life and ready to keep the shop going for many more years to come...
Until he started noticing his hunger.
Hunger was a sure sign of high levels of reiryoku, as everyone was well aware; and being just about midway to the Seireitei, it wasn't long before the Gotei 13 noticed. His slowly developed but impressive spirit energy was enough to earn him entrance to the Shinigami Academy; seeing a chance to really make something of himself, he sadly handed down the reins of the business and packed for the Seireitei. He was a rarity, several years older in appearance than his peers, but ignored the funny looks and questions. He was there for the same singular reason as all the others, and that was all that mattered. His progress was at the same pace as the others; he took to the necessary skills quite quickly, and was proficient at all the disciplines he and his fellow students were instructed in. He graduated without incident, and was assigned to the recently vacated 10th Seat of the 10th Division.
Decades passed, and Seizon established himself as a capable and respected member of his division. Always willing to offer a smile and impart some advice, he became something akin to a father figure to the younger, unseated members. His Shikai was beyond him only for a few years; he achieved it coming out of a beatdown handed to him and his partner by a rather large clawed Hollow, spurred by the physical duress, and took a morbid kind of pleasure in slicing it up bit by bit to begin figuring out his newfound powers.
Shikai achieved, Seizon began rising through the ranks. He reached the prestiged position of 4th Seat, and held it for a few entertaining years before coming to a rather painful decision... He needed to leave the Soul Society. For years he had been soul-searching, so to speak, with the aid of his ever eloquent Zanpakuto spirit, and had concluded that more hazardous surroundings were needed if he was to unlock the secrets of his Bankai and unseal the true power of his Zanpakuto. Hueco Mundo was where his searching would eventually take him.
Fifty long years passed before, in fierce battle with a pair of Adjuchas, Ketsuen Sakenomi would deem his wielder worthy of his frightening true power. Seizon's utterance of that perpetually tide-turning six-letter word would finally seal the fates of his adversaries, and with the sudden massive spike in his power he was able to destroy the two Adjuchas. This was merely the start of a century of Bankai training against the strongest Menos he could find; and not once did he lose. With each victory, his power and skill only grew. Even the countless Adjuchas seemed to be little match for him...
Finally, when it seemed as if Seizon had mastered his Bankai, he decided it was time to make his way back to the Soul Society. The return of the prodigal Shinigami, said to have trained in Hueco Mundo for a century and a half, was much talked about; and as befitting his awesome new power, he was within weeks transferred into the 1st Division’s vacant Lieutenant post.
The events of the fierce battle enveloping the Soul Society, however, have taken their toll. On a mission that took him into Hueco Mundo to track down a rogue Adjucha that had massacred a small town in the human world, Seizon was lured into the Gillian Forest by his quarry. He succeeded in slaying the Hollow, but was trapped in the forest; by the time he managed to escape, a few months later, he found that the Soul Society had assumed him killed in action – and replaced him with a new Lieutenant.
Just about able to conceal his indignation with understanding, as the Soul Society needed capable officers now more than ever, Seizon made use of the fact that he was thought to be dead in order to break away as the likes of Yoruichi Shihoin had and gain some first-hand understanding of the other major players in this great game of life and death.
RP Sample: The clash of steel against steel and the hellish barks of unnatural explosions finally died away as the skirmish came to a close. Silence once again fell over the eerily still night, a chilling breeze riding the crisp, cold air. The abyssal black material of a white-haired man’s heavy cloak rustled softly as the wind gushed through it. Adjusting the folds of the cloak as it rested upon his body, the shrouded figure exhaled deeply, as if weariness was beginning to claim him as the night grew older.
It was not tiredness, however, that brought on this heavy sigh. Rather, it was a knife of regret. The fierce fight which had just taken place on this alley had been in vain, despite his effortless victory. He’d been too late to save the mother and child who had been cornered by the now dead reptilian demons scattered around him; the bodies of the two unfortunate humans lay bloodied and mutilated against the wall, the mother’s arm resting protectively around her child. The man swept across the alley in one slow, implacable stride, kneeling before the two humans and respectfully closing their eyes.
”I am sorry I could not save you. Rest in peace.”His sorrow hung heavily in his otherwise cold voice. Rising, he turned on his heels and strode quickly out of the alley. As he passed one of the demon corpses, he allowed his anger to overtake for a moment and he lashed out at it, kicking it forcefully out of the way. As it crashed to the ground among the dumpsters against the wall, the man continued out into the street. He had objectives which needed to be completed with all haste and he knew where he must go to begin seeing them through; his youngest son’s business.
A thoughtful frown crossing his face, Sparda set off through the streets of the city. Devil May Cry was where his search would begin.
