Basic InformationName: Ran Taiyo Seishin
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Grade: Junior
Looks: - Spoiler:
Ran is a 5’3”, 104 pound, petite young woman. She has clear, ivory skin, with a touch of golden cream in it, and almond shaped, large brown eyes. She has a heart-shaped face, strong nose, defined cheekbones and rosebud lips. Despite her light weight she is quite curvy, and her body has a light padding of muscles, most noticeably on her shoulders, back and stomach. Her hair is long, pitch-black, and slightly fluffy.
She prefers to wear non-restricting clothing, like loose tops, floaty skirts or shorts, and sandals. She enjoys gauzy material in clothing, finding that it clings to her body less. Her hair is normally kept tied up in a messy bun or high ponytail, though sometimes she braids it, though it isn’t often let loose. She normally wears a dark green, US army jacket with her clothing, it being a hand-me-down from her uncle, and she also wears an old charm necklace on her wrist like a bracelet. The necklace is a worn metal charm, a flower entwined around a boar, hanging on a black woven thong.
Rank: Special
Personality: Ran is an extroverted, friendly, happy-go-lucky girl, stubborn as an ox, with a sarcastic streak to make the strongest groan. She enjoys meeting new people, and isn’t one to hold a grudge. She is fiercely loyal though, and won’t forgive as easily if you wrong someone she loves. She is a rather bouncy girl who enjoys talking with people, though her stutter has made it more difficult for her.
Ran has some rather severe psychological trauma from the death of her mother, her necklace being her only memory of her. She plans, when she dies, to find them in the soul society, and so she has a rather morbid fascination with death. She also has a rather big distrust of Shinigami, and is more likely to run from one then to feel grateful. Despite her trauma, she works well in a crisis, only letting herself feel the weight of her agony in private afterwards. She has learned to work around it by using humor, and so has developed a large sense of humor. All in all she is a caring, friendly girl, more likely to give you a hug then to criticize. Get on her bad side though, and you will find yourself wishing you hadn’t.
Sexuality: Bisexual
Relationship Status: Single
Human Special Ability InformationName: Eien no Seishin
Description: Eien no Seishin is the ability to modify the spiritual powers of another person. Using this she can create an arrancar out of a hollow, make a human a shinigami, make a vizard human, etc. The time it takes to turn someone from something to something else varies. All in all it’s harder for her to strip someone of spiritual powers then to give them to them. Using this she can also make a hollow into a whole, make a hollow into a menos, etc.
The problem with this is that it takes quite a bit of time, because it is basically changing the very nature of something. Instead of simply suppressing a power or supplementing one she is taking a soul and changing its very foundation. It doesn’t work that well in close combat, due to the time and concentration it takes, and so unless her target is unaware, submitting to or if she has someone who can defend her it isn’t wise to use it. However after a certain point when she is changing the powers, it reaches a state where the target can no longer use their former powers. She has reached a level where she can turn minor hollows into wholes and bring out a humans latent powers relatively quickly, but anything beyond that is more time-consuming.

Description: See above
History and RP SampleHistory: Ran was born to Yumi Sato and Sai Seishin. Sai was a shinigami who had met Yumi when he was cleansing a hollow. They fell in love and got married, though Sai could only visit her occasionally. Ran was born a few monthes after they were married, and grew up raised only by her mother, in a secluded Japanese fishing village. She grew up used to shinigami and the supernatural, but her powers emerged first when she was 8.
Her father had just been visiting her mother, and after he left they were attacked by a hollow. Her mother attempted to use her own powers on the hollow to protect Ran. She used them to drain the hollow’s spiritual energy and lifeforce, at the cost of her own life. Ran was traumatized and scared, and stayed by her mother trying to wake her up. Shinigami arrived about a half an hour later to combat the hollow, only to find it gone and a very angry little girl standing over her dead mother.
When the shinigami tried to approach her she screamed and lashed out with her powers, inadvertently, and temporarily, stripping them of their powers. Frightened, she dragged her mothers body out and into an alley, where she huddled up, trying to hide. That was when her aunt, Ayame, who lived about a mile away, found her. Her aunt suppressed her spiritual energy to hide them from the hollows, before taking her home. She got custody of Ran and moved with her to Karakura town.
Ran stayed enclosed and scared, not opening up to anyone. Because of this she started getting beat up at school, the schools tough girls viewing her as seeking attention. She hid her injuries for her aunt and stayed quiet. However in secret she was training her abilities, and when she was 15 she got the chance to use them again. She was almost attacked by a hollow, and she used her powers to cleanse it, staying with the soul until the soul reapers arrived to send it to the soul society.
She continued to do this, letting her aunt hide her spiritual energy with her own powers, and often, after school, searching out hollows to cleanse. Since then she has reverted (mostly) to her old friendly, open-minded self, though her stutter has stayed with her. She recently became aware of large amount of hollows appearing around Karakura town and has been attempting to search out the cause… in between her shift at her aunts teahouse that is.
RP Sample: “You little bitch,” snarled the girl standing over Ran. Ran closed her eyes tightly as she felt the girls foot collide again against her ribs. She kept her grip on the girls ankle, digging her fingernails in. She was being held down by another girl and couldn’t get up. All of her martial arts training went to waste against these girls, who struck when you least expected it, and fought dirtier then her friend Mai’s brother’s socks.
She groaned in pain as she was kicked again. Someone grabbed the back of her head, thrusting her face into the ground. She scraped her fingers against the girls skin, finally pinching down hard on a soft bit of flesh. The girl squealed and kicked her hand against her head. Suddenly their heads perked up. “Someone’s coming,” one of them said. They leapt away from Ran and darted off. Ran moaned and pushed herself into a sitting position.
“Seishin? Are you alright?”
She looked up and saw one of the students, Keigo. He was in her class. She forced a smile. “I-I’m fine,” she said, stuttering slightly. “J-just tripped.” She stood, wincing as she placed her weight on her twisted ankle. She heard someone move behind her.
“You sure?” he asked, handing her her bag. She nodded.
“Yep. T-thanks,” she said, taking her bag and limping off. She was relieved he didn’t try to help. She didn’t want it, or need it. She continued to limp off towards the tea house. She could feel the hairs on the back of neck prickle as she felt the immense spiritual pressure in the area. She hadn’t felt relaxed in a long while. There was way to much pressure in the air to let her. She sighed as she continued to walk.
“What the heck is going on here,” she muttered. She hadn’t felt this pressure until a little while ago. Now all she wanted to know is why it was there, and what was causing it.
