Personality: Vanille seems to have a child-like innocence, akin to that of a younger child. Vanille also cares deeply for Fang, constantly worries for her, and does not like being away from her. Vanille also seems tougher than she appears to be since she was able to kill a bear alone. Throughout the game, Vanille is shown to be caring, considerate, and at times somewhat stubborn. She mostly appears to be happy and cheerful when, truthfully, she is afraid. She usually tries to cope with her fears by closing her eyes and "losing herself in happier days." In Final Fantasy XIII Episode Zero: Promise, Fang describes Vanille to be careless at times, naive, a crybaby, a scaredy-cat but also curious about everything. Her curiosity is evident by how she wants to explore her surroundings no matter what others might think. Fang also says that she laughs a lot and is kind to everyone. Vanille also tends to remain positive in situations that others would deem hopeless, and tries to see the brighter side of things. Over the course of the game, Vanille learns to stop running away from her fate as a l'Cie, and come to terms with it.

History and RP Sample

History: Vanille doesn't really remember much of anything. She was once the daughter of a powerful man, put in an asylum one hundred and sixty years ago, after she spoke aloud about seeing people who were not really there. Her mother and father disowned her and never spoke of her to anyone. She was 10 years old when she was put in the asylum and, as she stayed there, she learned to control her ability to mimic things. She learned she could mimic the people around her and that got her in even more trouble. She was played in solitary confinement, a punishment to the craziest of the crazy, until they thought she would be good. She died after nine years of that, the doctors not knowing that she was being killed by a cancer, something unknown back then.
Now, as a Shinigami, she has learned to take care of herself and fight for what she thinks is right. She began her life in Soul Society living with other children younger then her. When she learned she could still mimic people and that her reiatsu mimiced people, she joined the academy immediately. She trained hard, excelling at sword combat and hand-to-hand combat as well. Vanille, at the age of fifty and having been a shinigami for thirty years (also staying in Division Seven), finally learned her shikai form. She wasn't exactly sure, she only knew that she had been meditating for some time and she finally broke threw to her inner world. A lake full of water with a blood red moon hanging over head. She met her zanpakuto spirit, a wolf with dark grey fur streaked with light grey and pure white wings. Eyes as red as the moon. Once she'd learned it, she showed it to her captain and he allowed her to bump up to fourth seat if she could beat the original fourth seat. When she had, he gladly allowed her to replace them.

How long does she copy the opponent's zanpakuto abilities for? Does this have/need any preparation time or cooldowns? Is the power of the mimicked attacks the same strength as the original attacks?

Moonlight Mirror allows the wielder to copy another's abilities for three posts and it's cooldown time is five posts. It halves the power of the attacks that she uses but still they are affective.
