Looks: Kiku has rare attire for a Vice Kido Chief. She has shoulder length creamy blonde hari kept up in a small loose ponytail with bangs hanging over her left eye. She has dark brown-red eyes and tiny pink lips. A white soft scarf is wrapped around her neck, with goggles sitting on top of the scarf attached to a leather strap, still hanging around her neck. Kiku wears white and red shorts, the white portion of pants rises above and below the red portion and looks like bandages. She wears red ans white socks that extend just below her toes, enabling her to wear sandals with leather straps. Golden buckles hold light brown gloves in place. A puffy white sweater with a red shirt under it. A strong thick leather strap holds her zanpakutou in place. During normal days when she isn't fighting, her zanpakutou is disguised as a green umbrella. A spike hangs from the handle of the umbrella. On her arms is a strange silver bracelet, made to mimic technologies in the 12th Division, symbolizing her past place at the division.

Personality: Kiku is quite a quirky child. She's very eccentric, one minute she's postively hyper and happy, the next she is wrecking things in a fit of oure rage. Certainly a wild child. She is still very caring for those around her, protective of her friends and allies. Most of the time she can be seen smiling or grinning. She has the weird habit of tilting her head to the side when something is curious or interesting in Kiku's perspective. She behaves quite childish and naive when she isn't fighting or being completely serious around allies. She loves sweet things and desserts, and still loves spicy foods. Kiku loves to slack off and very rarely try sake, though it always ends in her spitting it out, often getting yelled out becuase she looks quite young, causing bar owners to believe she is only a young 6 year old girl. In her free time, she studies the humans habits.

She depises sour foods and candy, and if she happens to get a sour candy, it'll often result in a outburst of anger at whoever is in the vicinity of Kiku. She is also shown to be more mature during certain times, shown by her constant gambling in the local poker taverns. She is a level-headed and loyal girl, yet always has the best interests in mind. She often keeps her goals secret and lies about them though. She loves to listen to music and nap constantly, even though she's been sleeping for almost 150 years. Kiku is still a very smart and cunning girl, not one to be underestimated. She depises people who are constantly hyper, even though herself is hyper a lot. Kiku doesn't really look food from the Seireitai, much prefering to visit the Human World. Kiku speaks with a lisp frequently, though it rarely gets in the way during her Kido incantations.

Zanpakuto Information



Zanpakuto Name: Suterusiki (Steath Spirit)

Zanpakuto Spirit: Suterusiki is much like Kiku, in terms of personality. Very hyper, strange, yet still kind. He serves as more of a best friend to Kiku, and often teases her when she visits Suterusiki's sprit realm. Howeverm unlike Kiku, he is incredibly lazy and undetermined. Although they do carry the same trait of being unmotivated. He always seems to be smiling, yet when Kiku is in trouble, he will start to laugh. Although, when Kiku is in danger or in a battle, he will panic slightly. Suterusiki is quite a tall man also. He wears a dark brown scarf and arm cuffs, connected to a striped shirt. A belt wraps around his hips, holding black pants with darkened bandages in place. He has spiked blue hair and a crimson scra runs down his left eye. He wears leather boots with latches and buckles. A petticoat hangs from the back of his pants and is the same color as his scarf.

Spirit Realm: Kiku's Spirit Realm is strange. They seem to be underwater, as shown by the clear rays of sunshine shining donw through water and fishes. Although, the ground is wavy and appears to be cobblestoned. Broken bricks and crests made of metal sit on the curved ground also. Kiku can shunpo just like she can on land, or she can swim. Suterusiki simply floats along next to her, following her like an anxious big brother are trusty best friend. Maybe it's because each time Kiku enters the inner world she tends to drift next to the open dark void. Light flickers down there, yet Kiku is too afraid to go down there. There sits two chairs made of stone for Kiku and Suterisiki. Suterusiki recalls that he's never been to the surface of the water, and even if he wants to go up there sometimes, he never will.

Zanpakuto Looks: The blade of her zanpakutou, Suterusiki, is curved slightly, much like how it is in Shikai. It is incredibly long and gives off a shiny silver glow. The blade is closer ot white then plain silver. The hilt is golden with one hollowed out towards the edge and near the end of the hilt. A white ribbon is looped through the hole. The guard has been said to look as if a tiny rose was blooming up over the bottom of the blade. It is pure black, yet has a tiny shine to it thanks to the glow reflecting off of it. It os carried acroos her back because of the length by a soft strap. The sheath is black in color, same as the rose hilt.

Released Zanpakuto Description: Dizorubu: Kiku's form can temporarily dissolve into a mist-like substance which is really just spirit energy. She can only use this three times in battle or situations where she would normally get injured, but she can use this whenever she likes as long as she isn't exhausted during everyday situations. During battle, it only lasts one post, but the cooldown is seven posts each time. It is mainly used as a way to escape a enemies weapon that is directed at her in a way that would kill or severely injure her. It allows her to pass through both animate and inanimate objects. For the second time she can use it, she can only dissolve three areas on her body of her choice. During the last time, she can only dissolve two. If a exceptionally strong weapon passes through her, like a captain's zanpakutou or an Espada's weapon, she will recieve moderate damage even if she is in the mist form.

Hikaku:This a unique ability, devoted to concealing Kiku and her whereabouts. If there a proper amount of Spirit Energy around her or she is using her own, she can form a cloak around her body. She is able to throw her voice though the Spirit Particles, leading a person to a false location where her voice lead them too. This conceals her own Reiatsu. Of course, you can still see a faint shimmer and outline of Kiku's cloak, which could give her away to keen eyes. Her Reiatsu also is hidden and seems to be wherever the fake voice is. This lasts one post, can be used 4 times in battle, with a cooldown of 6 posts each time.

Nozomi: Kiku can manipulate her own Spiritual Energy into whatever offensive weapon or defensive technique she deems fit. It can only be defensive or offensive. Twin swords, a machete, a huge shield, etc. It is completely formed from Spirit Energy. The items aren't easy to break or ruin, but it is easily possible for someone of Captain or Espada rank to destroy it. It lasts 2 posts, she can use this 6 times during battle, with a cooldown of 6 posts. This technique aids her in battle alongside her sword.


Hirihiri: A collection of twenty sharp and long spikes formed from soldified spirit energy quickly develop along the ridges of Kiku's arms and also everywhere on her hands, covering all visibilty of her silk gloves. These can act as guards and be used to slice people when she elbows or hits them with her arms, ripped off of her arm and thrown at the enemy, or be used to rip off one at a time and they will grow and act as swords. This attack lasts 8 posts and takes 8 posts to use again. This is one of Kiku's offensive abilities. The spikes look as if they are formed into a glove around her arms and hands.

Ketteiteki: Kiku will motion her hand to form a clockwise circle solidified out of spirtual energy. She motions to push it towards the enemy. It will split into five pieces, yet go in the same direction. If she uses her left hand, it causes the enemy to take damage. If she uses her right hand, the circle will bounce back towards Kiku, transfering enough spiritual energy to heal her. Seeing as this attack or healing move, depending on which she uses, lasts only one post. It takes 4 posts to use the attack option again and 3 posts to use the healing option again. She is allowed to use the healing option only a maximum of 5 times before it does nothing to heal her.

Shikai Release Phrase: "Blink, Suterusiki."

Shikai Looks: In Shikai, Kiku gains to golden golves. They are made of shiny cloth with intricate gold laced around it. A ivory clasp holds them place, despite the fact that she nor anyone else can remove them in Shikai. The golves continue up above her elbow, the end of the gloves are decorated in a silver folded coller. The gloves have a silky shine to them and are incredibly soft. She also sports a katana with a silver hilt. It has triple hollowed circles with a gold lining. On the last one, like in her sealed state, a long ribbon is tied through it. It lengthens in Shikai though, allowing her to swing the zanpakutou. White threading wraps around each cirle, as if to hold them together. The blade is curved slightly and serrated. The dull side of the blade is lined with ivory. The hilt is a gold circle with the circle separated into 5 parts by twin lines of silver and ivory. The katana is strapped to Kiku's hip by a odd guard when she isn't using it.

History and RP Sample



History: Kiku Hotaru was born approximatly 300 years ago when Karakura Town was in it's newer years. She known to be quite a brilliant child, always alert and helpful. Kiku was constantly kind to others. One day, Kiku met a special being. It had been on the Earth for quite a while, with no shinigami to aid it. The being, a beautiful woman with pale white skin and soft silvery hair, offered Kiku a deal. To accept the being into her to become one and be granted special powers, or to return to her normal life with no repurcussions as long as she didn't tell anyone about meeting the being. Kiku nodded the entire time, and finally agreed to the womans request. A quick flash followed the agreement, along with the being disappearing and Kiku glowing bright yellow. Kiku was unconcious when a few village children found her lying on the banks of the small river. They carried her off and after three days of Kiku not waking up, they buried her in the local cemetary. Kiku slept quietly in her coffin, 6 feet underground, for 300 years while the being was out learning about the current world for Kiku when she woke up. After 100 years had passed,

Kiku awoke in her coffin, panicking on why she was in a coffin. The being returned quickly after resuming to be one with Kiku and share the information with Kiku. She instantly knew everything about what had occcured in the past 100 years, and what had happened to her family. She blasted her way out of the coffin, leaving a huge hole just below her tombstone. She placed everything where it was, making it look normal again. The being explained her powers she was sharing with Kiku, and told her that she was never to use them in everyday situations to hurt or harm people, and thta if she did, the being would leave her. Kiku nodded, obliging to the rules. She sighed as she brushed off her clothes, tattered and raggy becuase of being stuck in a coffin.

Kiku fought hollows alongside shinigami, she used to be in impeccable special human. She fought them up until she turned 12, well, looked 12. Kiku was bestowed with slow ageing, allowing her to live for an enhanced amount of time. It turns out Kiku didn't exactly need her slow ageing. She had the misfortune of meeting a very powerful hollow, Adjuchas class. Kiku couldn't defeat it, though the battle raged on for quite a while, it won in the end, killing Kiku and defeating the being. After the being was gone and Kiku dead, the Hollow devoured her know that she was a Plus. Kiku herself became a Hollow. She had no idea what was happening as her arms grew long and her nails grew into sharp claws, her eyes glowing dark red. Her teeth became sharp and pointed. And like any other Hollow, she gained plain white mask and her Hollow hole. She didn't know, or feel any sadness, when she fired Cero after Cero at young shinigami, massacaring them. That was her life as a Gillain class Hollow, far from the one that had killed her.

After continously roaming Karakura Town, eating souls for an unsatiable hunger. She had no conciensce, no feelings, no mind. All it was was pure instinct. She eventually came into contact with many shinigami after she advanced to Adjuchas class. She killed many of the ones who tried to fight her off, once again going on a rampage. It left Karakura a mess, bodies everywhere, blood splattered over the houses and pathways. She finally ascended to Los Noches at the point of becoming a Vasto Lorde. Kiku gained some awareness of her state. She had gained a more humanoid form this time. It was one of cobra. Her upper body was one of a females, yet it still had the flared cobra coller instead of actual hair. Her lower body was one of the cobra, having no legs. She devoured lower Hollows with ease, though Kiku did have some feeling of distaste to do so. She was more....fair....then other Hollows. She had decided to visit the Human World, not to eat souls, just to simply find her grave. On the way there, she happened to have alerted an immense of shinigami.

And very strong shinigami. A few attacked her at first, weakining her. Then they all piled on, eventually killing her. They had purified Vasto Lorde Kiku after 100 years. She was "born" in the 12th District of the Rukongai, a fairly good district compared to the lower ones. She lived there with a group of others, stole from merchants to survive, lived under a few houses in a damp cellar. Kiku's friends moved off to the upper districts once they realized they had no spirtual pressure and that they might as well find better living. They left Kiku, unawakened, in the damp cellar. She woke up to find all of their belongings gone, along with the food. She was able to concentrate an immense amount of spiritual energy into a massive sphere, large enough to where the people living above were surprised. She was sent out of the house, running from the owner of the house.

Even though he had gave up quickly, she kept running until she reached the 1st District of the Rukongai. She passed the entrance exam into the Shinigami Academy, easily being promoted to the advance classes. Kiku did great with Shunpo and her Zanjutsu skills, but was known far and wide, even in the Seireitai, for her Kido skills. She was eventually recognized for her Kido talents after she had gained her Shikai during a outbreak of Hollows during a training session. It certainly was a rare case, and an even rarer zanpaktou. The Captain of the 12th Division wanted Kiku in his division, recognizing her skills. She was promoted to Lieutenant after graduating the 4th highest in the class. She was an impeccable researcher and inventor.

She even used herself as a test subject when no one was willing. And it wasn't that that caused the fatal accident. True, Kiku was experimenting on herself that day. One of the older division members severely disliked Kiku, simply because she was more advanced then him. It was the third seat of the Division who caused this accident. It was well known Kiku was developing a special fume for causing drowsiness. Of course, when the third seat attempted to use this on her, it took a weird effect. Instead of simply making her dizzy enough to where she could mess up on her own, and be demoted, it reacted to the vial of direction reversal she had injected to test on herself in a worse way. It caused Kiku to drop right into a comatose state.

She was diagnosed to be put out of sight of normal shinigami, but not killed. Kiku was kept in a coffin-like container, much like the days when she was a Special human. After 150 years, Kiku awoke to a changed world. She had completely missed out on the betrayl of Aizen, Ichigo Kurosaki's victory, and everything that had occured. Althouhg she had woken up just on the eve of the night it had ended, so she was bound to hear about it. After roaming the Seireitai, Kido Corps members had located her. They brought her to the Kido Corps building and to the Grand Kido Chief. She was asked to be the Vice Kido Chief of the Kido Corps. Kiku was unsure at first, but eventually accepted. She is currently at the Kido Corps, and regularly visits the Gotei 13.

RP Sample: A heavy breathing sounded from theblack coffin sitting in it's holding cell. The young shinigami recruits looked over to the spot, whispering in mystefication and pure wonder. They wondered what was going on. One little shinigami girl, with huge blue eyes and a big blonde ponytail peered into the walkway wear the near death test subjects were held. One coffin shook back and forth, as if it was struggling, before going silent and still. The girl laying inside of the coffin sighed. "Hado 1, Sho." She mumbled quietly, pointing her palms outward. The top of the coffin busted off, causing the younger shinigami girl to scream in fright. The other shinigami ran to her side as the girl shinigami sitting in the coffin sat up straight. She looked down to see she still had her old lt.'s badge on, along with her dusty shinigami robes.

Kiku looked at them, eyeing them quietly. She swung her feet over the edge of the coffin and looked at them, jumping to the ground. Kiku was quite short, but she looked pretty angry. She pointed one tiny index finger at the shinigami. "Which one of you caus-" Kiku began before swerving to the right and hitting a matel table. She stood up, rubbing her head. She returned back to galring at them after wondering what had caused it. "Now then, which one of you caused that?!" Kiku yelled. They all shook their heads quickly. Kiku moaned as she walked past them and out of the division, unsure of where she was going. She sighed quietly to herself, looking around. [color=indigo]"Why were you in a coffin.....and why do you feel so damn energetic....."
