Visiting the Clinic

Mai Natsumi, usually known as Natsumi or simply Mai, swung back and forth on a limber tree branch. Mai had been content and happy, up until an hour ago. her happy relaxation time of avoidong all the other species had been interuppted when a hollow decided to try and attack her.She had destroyed it with relative ease, but that didn't stop her day from going bad to worse. She couldn't find peace since, there was always children running around, traffic in the streets, or even the loud idiot blabbering on his cell phone. She just wanted some damn peace! Why couldn't she find in a stupid tiny town?! She sighed angrily as she kept on swinging on the branch before sliging herself onto the roof of what seh knew to be the Kurosaki Clinic. It was sunset in Karakura as her long shadown cast over the edge of the roof and onto ground level. The human form was clearly visible, adn she was bound to be spotted by a Kurosaki sometime. Whether it be the father, Isshin, Mai thought his name was. The two young daughters Karin and Yuzu. Mai had taken to a friendship with Karin, the girl was like her, tomboy and generally cynical. Yuzu was still alovely girl, but she was more girly and innocent. Then there was Ichigo Kurosaki. A Vizard, as Mai and the rest of the ones who lived within the confines of the Warehouse were. It had been a while since she spotted him, she wondered where the orange haired boy had been.

Toshiro was basically on patrol in karakura town still in his human state, he was quite bored he had seen little action in the past few days except for a few arrancar when he found himself bored- which was often he like to sit on the roof of the kurosaki family clinic, where he talked to ichigo alot.
It was a bit chilly Toshiro thought to himself as the sun set as he jumped onto the roof of the kurosaki family clinic "Now to wait for Ichigo" Toshiro thought to himself

It had been a long day at school, Ichigo only having gotten out a few minutes ago. He had been away from school for so long, he had to catch up on all the shit he missed while he was in soul society. Letting out a sigh, Ichigo opened the gate to his home, looking at the ground sleepily. How the hell was he able to battle hollows, but not able to stay awake for one day of school. It was exhausting. As the sound of the gate closing sounded behind him, he noticed shadows being cast on the sidewalk from the setting sun. Looking up, he spotted two forms standing on the roof of the clinic. Squinting against the bright rays of the sun, he looked up at them, sheilding his eyes.

Mai jumoed slihgtly as she saw another man on the roof near her. She looked over her shoulder at the tiny white haired boy and smiled slowly before looking back in front of her. "Who are you, and what are you dong on Kurosaki's roof?" Mai asked the boy inquistively. She soon spotted Ichigo walking towards the clinic and grinned before wacing in a hyper fashion. She jumped into the air and a huge yell soundded from directly overhead Ichigo. "ICHIIIIGOOOOOOO!!!!!" Mai yelled as she landed on top of Ichigo's shoulders. She smiled at him brightly, balancing on one hand while waving to him with the other. "Hello Ichigio Kurosaki!" Mai shouted out, even though she was right next to him.

Toshiro quickly jumped down from the roof and just for the irony he landed beside some mystery girl that jumped onto ichigo "I am Toshiro Hitsugaya captain of the 9th division" he yelled at the girl with a small grin and a thumbs up "who are you?" Toshiro said ignoring Ichigo for the moment

He knew that the two forms standing on his rooftop were not enemies, if they were he would have sensed it. So when one of the shadows jumped from the roof screaming his name, he was not worried about being attacked. The small girl landed on his shoulders, and he smiled, before wincing from having his ears yelled into. "Konbanwa, Mai. What brings you here?" He looked from the girl on his shoulders to the small boy now standing next to him. "And Hitsugaya Taicho" he said looking down at him with a small smile.

Mai smiled and waved to the short white haired boy. "Ahhh a Captain? I was about to be a lt. back in my days. In fact, it was most likely approximetly 70 years ago today that it happened. Must've forgotten to check my calander...." Mai said as she drifted off to that fateful day. She returned back to the present,and a glimmer of sadness showed on her face. She turned back to Ichigo and smiled at his question as he pounced off of his shoulders and looked at him. She was a relatively short girl, barely taller then Rukia-chan. She yawned and looked up at him. "Nothing much Ichigo. Just visiting. Haven't seen you in a while. How's the family?" Mai asked while shuffling her feet along the pavement and looked at the boy who said he was Captain of the 10th Division.

Toshiro had become annoyed by this point he disliked childish people "Ichigo we need to talk" Toshiro said with his usual serious face

In truth, Ichigo didn't really know how well his family was doing. Since his return, he had barely spent any time with them, having being so busy with his school work and shinigami duties. Shrugging, he responded nonchalantly "Heh, I don't really know. They're all inside if you wanna go see them." At least he assumed they were home. Turning back to Toshiro as he spoke, his face went serious. Well, Toshiro was always like that, but him coming here to talk to him could mean seirous buisness. "Yah, sure. What's going on?"

Mai shook her head slowly at Ichigo's offer. She quickly smiled at him before looking up again. "Noo, that's ok. Just tell Karin, Isshin, and Yuzu I said hi. I'm not exactly one to go and talk to others quite as frequently." Mai said to him with a tiny nervous laugh as she placed the palm of her hands behind her neck, rocking back and forth on the soles of her feet. She turned her face to Toshiro and yawned before throwing a mischevious smile. "Why so serious boy?" Mai asked him quietly. She hated when people looked so uptight and serious. She figured you might as well enjoy the time you have before your life ends. If you don't enjoy any of it and strive to protect those dearest to you, what more do you have left to do in life?
