Looks: Aoide is 5’3, a petite woman with an ample chest, a lean torso, and curvy hips. She has dark brown hair which she ties up in elaborate pigtails. She has a sweet, round face with equally round and pouty features. She has large, heavily lashed doe brown eyes. She wears several different styles of black robes. Some have sleeves, no sleeve, and a personal favorite of the wrap around collar of Squad 2. Her Captain’s robe is tied together with a pink sash, and the sleeves hang past her hands. She keeps her Zanpakuto strapped to her arm and out of view up her sleeve.
Personality: After years of being clumsy, loud, and scattered brain, Aoide’s years in the human world have turned her into a mature woman. She is gentle and kind to her squad and others. But this doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a rebellious side. In a snap, whether it be from a challenge or disrespect to those weaker, she can return to her younger roots. She isn’t afraid to confront people with the truth or problems with an attitude to match her temper. Unfortunately she can lack tact when it comes to more sensitive areas, but always with a nice smile on her face. She’s eager to listen to other people, enjoying their life experiences.
She enjoys fighting, a surprise considering what squad she leads. She lacks the stare of the previous Captain of Squad Four, but isn’t afraid to get physical with patients that aren’t behaving. She’s fond of dancing and having a good time. She’s a trend setter when it comes to Shinigami fashion, borrowing heavily on what she experience in the human world. She has a child-like innocence in enjoying the little unnoticed things. She’s extremely loyal to those she likes. Aoide also has the habit of not being afraid when she really should be and charging into a situation. She takes pride in the control she has over her spiritual energy to the point that she could be mistaken for a low level Shinigami. Then same could be said about her swordsmanship skills. She’s a bit of a romantic, often nosing into other people’s love life.

Zanpakuto Information
Zanpakuto Name: Yobirin Masurao(Bell Warrior)
Zanpakuto Looks: Aoide has one of the shortest sealed Zanpakutos in the Soul Society due to her control over her Spiritual energy. The entire blade hilt and all is the length of her forearm which she attaches to her arm and conceals it in the sleeve of her robes. The hilt is a silver color, a circle shape with cut outs of music notes. The wrappings are light yellow while the rest of the blade is black.
Released Zanpakuto Description: Yobirin is a sound and mimicking Zanpakuto. When released the entire area is void of sound as the blade absorbs the sounds to be turned into an attack. When Aoide’s blade is released her entire outfit changes in a, ‘magical girl,’ type transformation.
Zanpakuto Release Phrase: “Sing”
Released Zanpakuto Looks: A doubled ended bladed Naginata, with a string of bells winding down its shaft. Though it appears to be made out of wood, the Naginata is still hard to cut with a normal blade.
Cavatina, (Sing)- The area around the battle field will grow silent as the blade absorbs all the sound in the area. It will glow with a rushing white glow, then all the sound that it has absorb is released in a sonic boom type attack. Aoide’s speed and strength are heightened as well as when her blade hit another blade or the enemy it lets off smaller blasts of sonic pressure. She is able to hold the sound in her Naganita for roughly, one post before being released, she then needs a full two posts for the staff to reabsorb the sound again.
Soul Choir, (Follow)- The tips of Aoide’s blade will glow before shooting into the air, five mini sonic booms come crashing to the ground following the enemy by Aoide concentrating on the song that the person’s Spirit Pressure gives out. She must stand still and concentrate on the target to allow her blade the ability to zone in on the Spiritual pressure and follow their movements. Aoide is unable to move until the last attack is finish and even then she is slow and sluggish. This attack takes three posts to charge and then three posts to recharge
Bankai Information

Bankai Description: During Bankai Yobirin’s mimicking abilities shine through. Normally, Aoide is only able to mimic someone’s voice while her Zanpakuto is sealed. In her Bankai state she is able to copy other Zanpakutos and their abilities. Aoide is only able to memorize three other Zanpakuto abilities. She can only copy Shikai attacks and only if she’s seen them before as well as hearing their release phrase. Her Zanpakuto has a short memory and Aoide can copy one more Shikai but only to use during that fight. But once she powers down from Bankai the extra Shikai is forgotten. Though when Aoide uses her Bankai she's copying Shikai, the power level is bumped up to Bankai. Though she's an expert with a blade, when using abilities she's never used before and weapons she had never used this can be a danger to herself and anyone else. Such as, she copies a Shikai that's a flail, she might end up hurting herself. Kido Zanpakuto are tricky as well, she must see then entire attack to understand and copy it. If someone his hiding their true Zanpakuto or has illusions abilities, it's very hard for Aoide to comprehend them and understand on how to use them. Though Aoide can use the ability almost automatically, it takes eight post cooldown to allow her to switch to another ability. So when she uses Bankai, she must be wise on what ability she chooses and hope her enemy doesn't have something special up their sleeve.

Bankai Looks: When Yobirin’s Bankai is revealed it begins as a long, feathered ended staff. In this form Aoide is able to use her Shikai sound abilities to fight. Her eyes also glow a faint yellow as well as she goes through another transformation. But, when activated Aoide’s voice will change to the voice of the Shikai she’s borrowing and her staff will turn into that Zanpakuto she’s copying.
History and RP Sample
History: Aoide was born in district 6, abandoned on the doorstep of the Yuu family, a lesser noble house. She was adopted into the family by a childless couple and soon grew into a little snot. A bit of a tomboy she was more of a dirty brat that fought against the other children in her family. Sometimes she even snuck out of the high walls to go out to the poorer parts of District 6 to fight with those children. Often wearing torn a soiled clothing she was everything but a lesser noble. With lots of whining and crying Aoide was forced to endure, ‘lady classes, ‘ to become a proper member of the household.
The lessons never held that well and when Aoide was 115 she joined the Shinigami Academy. Not use to the learning structure of the Academy, she quickly fell behind. It took her twice as long to complete the academy, and even then she barely passed. Her only talent was swordsmanship due to her aggressive temper when provoked. She was placed in Squad 11, where luckily she wasn’t noticed by the higher level members. At the time she preferred her hair short and was often mistaken for being a scrawny male due to her going through puberty late.
She expanded on her swordsmanship, striving not to be left behind by the men in her squad. She then grew bored and transferred to Squad 10 in the interest of going to the human world. It was several years before she was strong enough to be chosen to go on a mission to the human world. She was hooked from that moment on, volunteering for every mission to go explore this new world. She worked on her Kido, one of the few attacks she could use in the human world. She learned to flash step and actually rose to the fourth seat of Squad 10.
She was selected for a mission to stay in the human world to protect the human souls from hollows. She was gone for several hundred years, in that time she concentrated on her training, particularly on her control and speaking to her Zanpakuto Spirit. When her mission was over Aoide returned to the Soul Society only to learn of the war. Now hundreds of time stronger as well as knowing her Shikai and Bankai, Aoide strived to become a Captain. She chose to apply for Squad 4 due to her Spiritual Energy control and knack at healing.
RP Sample:
Water lilies in full bloom floated around the lovely pond in the courtyard of the Squad Four Barracks. A woman stood looking at them, her hands tucked into the long sleeves of her white robe. A gentle breeze pulled at her pigtails and hem of her robes as her brown eyes seemed to stare at nothing. She was Aoide Sato, a Shinigami, Captain of Squad Four, and still adjusting to her new surroundings. She had to admit that the last Captain had a knack for flowers and the entire courtyard was beautiful. Aoide didn’t have much of a green thumb, she guessed that the plants would be dead by accident within a week in her care.
She let out a small sigh, not that she wouldn’t try, she had some big shoes to fill. She was a completely different type of person then the last Captain, she wasn’t as patient, gentle, kind, nor beautiful. But she was going to try, she was going to be a good Captain. She quailed a little at the thought of not gaining the love and trust of her squad. She swallowed, a small gulp issuing from her throat.
“Nonsense, I can do this, I have the strength, the skills, the heart,” Aoide said building her own confidence with a mini pep talk, “Right if Kenpachi Zaraki can do it, I can do it too!”
“Taichou!” a voice shouted as a low level Shinigami from her Squad ran up.
“Some Squad 11 members were admitted into the medical bay and they’re causing trouble!” the Shinigami panted. Aoide lifted an eyebrow in response and with a knowing look and nod she followed after the Shinigami to the medical bay.
“You call this food? I wouldn’t feed this to the orphans in District 80!” one of the Squad 11 members yelled lifting the try to throw it. Out of nowhere Aoide seemed to appear her slim arm wrapping around the man’s neck the other around the arm about to throw the tray.
“Sato-Ta-Taichou,” the man squeaked.
“Why don’t we behave,” Aoide said sweetly, her voice filled with Spiritual Energy to help the man agree to what she was saying, “You’re injured and you should rest. Let us take care of you.”
“Uh-huh,” the man’s body relaxed, a goofy smile on his face. She edges of Aoide’s mouth twitched in amusement. She didn’t have a glare but she knew how to handle some unruly patients, one way or another.
